I reckon OP was Jax's conscience, now that he is gone, Jax has no one to reign him in.

I reckon there has been a pretty decent arc to Jax's progression. Every season he has pulled off some under handed shit to rescue the club, and each season what he has had to do has been worse and worse. I think he has just lost site of what "for the good of the club" means, and who the real enemies are.

All i can say is, they better fucking end this show. I think they are signed on for this season, and one more, and in my eyes that should be enough to wrap it up.

Anyone got an idea what Bobby's big play is? (besides the obvious)
-

Thats a pretty thoughtful comment for you ;)

Yeah the show must be on it's last legs, maybe the writers should have the MC contact Saul Goodman given I hear there have been whispers about a spin off involving him, and do a show merge :)
Not really spoilers...

Jax is simply becoming everything he hated about Clay and the MC.

Speaking of Clay, starting to feel a bit sorry for the guy...

As for the US Marshall dude, WTF! How much sway can a retired US Marshall really have on a current Investigation!!

His favours must include images of someone he is blackmailing!
-

No clue? So he goes Nomad? Is that a big deal? I assume being Nomad, they are allowed to operate in any other charter's "area" but not be bound to that charter's president. Thus setting up Bobby to be around Charming, but not having to do what Jax says?

There really are no likeable people left on the show at all. The whole MC pretty much deserves to be locked up for life, or killed in a shootout or something. Now that would be an ending to rival the Sopranos fade to black.
-

BTW, anyone watched any of the new shows? Have most of them taped for a sample, but have been reading that it is the weakest crop of new shows in quite a few years. I

Mate, Darkplace was great. Although one idiot in my office said he didn't like it "because the special effects were crap".

5 episode drama from the BBC

Gillian Anderson plays inspector tracking down a serial killer.

Cold, unsettling, layered, brutal at times, but compelling viewing.

Makes you feel a bit dirty after watching it.

Could be handy to have an episode or two of Community on hand to lighten things afterwards.

Episode 1 of Season 3 of "Homeland" lat night. Decent start. One thing though, after all this time, i still couldn't give a fuck about the Brody family (once the wife got her tits out in the first minute of the show, her role was done) and the show would have been improved if they had been at the CIA when it blew the fuck up.

I also watched some shit called "The Black List" (or, as channel 7 called it "James Spader's The Black List") it's utter, utter rubbish, avoid. The suspensions of belief required just to allow the show to function are baffling (apparently the FBI are fucking retards, and the smartest, most capable person in the room is the girl on her first day).
-

Vince Gilligan (breaking bad creator) spilled the beans on his insider podcast. Some pretty messed up shit was in his plans, the evil bastard! luckily the other writers reined him in! I wrote down some of them.
Vince Gilligan on the final episode of the Breaking Bad Insider podcast, let rip with his ideas and thoughts that he and his writers had mulled over during the whole series.

Evil: Jesse was supposed to die at the end of S1. killed by a un-eventuated evil player in the drug world, worse than all the others put together, worse than Gus. Walt captures this guy for revenge, imprisons him in a booby trap, where if he moves he'll get shot, and each day Walt tortures and cuts body parts of this guy, cauterizing the wounds with blow torch, Walt wants him to kill himself by moving and setting off the booby trap, Walt Jr was to find the scene, and try and help the guy who'd realize who Walt Jr was and then set of the booby trap off killing them both.

Pure evil: The Aryan in the massage chair was going to be sitting a regular chair and we would have seen the first bullet in slow mo blowing through his forehead and then all the subsequent bullets would have slowly half decapitated him and he would have been sitting there with the top half of his head missing while the Walt, Jesse, Todd and Jack scene unfolded. They had special effects make a model up, but it was- just too gruesome.

Vince's original vision was the M60 powered by a windshield wiper motor, but the tech guys set him straight.

One scenario was Skyler was to have gone on the run with Walt and then committed suicide in hotel room.

There ideas were Walt would disappear with new wife and new job teaching Chemistry at a learing annex. And cooks up Peanut Brittle as a hobby with his special process as he misses cooking meth

There was one scene thrown about where Walt was going to being walking across the desert pulling a bloody suitcase with a certain dead baby inside.

The Grey matter angle at the end was inspired by a hard core fan who met Vince and said he was curious to learn more about the Schwartz.

The M60 in the trunk at the start of season 5 - they had no idea what they were going to do with it, they had to come up with something as the season progressed. Ideas were Walt would break Jesse out of Prison with the gun, or lay waste to prison bus.

The scene where Walt breaks into the car, it was plastic snow and on a hot day, Walt had dry ice in his mouth to create the mist on his breath.

The pillar in Skylar kitchen , that was actually there in the room, they just figured it would work well in the scene.

The watch at the payphone? no meaning, just had to ditch it for continuity - in the Birthday diner scene which was shot much earlier, he didn't have it on.

They joked that Jesse was going to end up in New Zealand!

In the end. I think they got it to pan out pretty well considering.
-

unsure what to make of the BB finale...are my feelings about it mixed purely because it was the finale, given the actual episode ticked alot of boxes.
Never thought of Lydia as someone Walt wanted to take out of the picture with the Ricin, always thought he was keeping it for himself (although I did think Ricin killed similarly to Cyanide)

Thought it was good how most of the characters from throughout had a cameo in the final ep too when they probably didnt need too, but was a nice touch to tie a few things up.

Was good that Jessie got to deal to Todd too.
-
SOA
wtf are they gonna end the show purely by killing everyone, looks entirely possible the way things are going.

Was a great way for Otto to finally go after getting rid of that annoying Marshall.
-

Pretty much a perfect ending for BB, tying up loose ends and being consistent for each character. What a show. Fantastic writing, great attention to detail, and very good acting-esp. from Cranston. The arc of so many characters really show the problems caused by too much pride. Here's a gif I saw somewhere:
