no, she is essentially useless

the writers of SOA don't like prison guards much do they? and
come on, how did Jax not see that coming with the request for a specific time, and everyone around the table?
-

SOA
He did see it coming, just so dumb it wasn't until the last moment. I get the feeling they are trying too hard to rejig a lot of stuff to get it in a position to finish off next season. Sutter must know the ending but seems to be making it up as he goes along with how to get there. That scene with Clay, Jemma and the guards was plain silly unless it had a point that would drive something, like Gemma telling Nero and adding another piece to him wanting out of everything.
-
Agree with above, seems they are making things 'fit' now for a specific end.

Am a bit over that whole Marshall business, the dead hooker is lame, sure they have evidence she was in Nero's truck, but surely there is other evidence;

DNA from the Marshall, er, in her? He didnt strike me as the, um, protective type...he shot her by accident initially, so the gun is most likely registered to him, or did he dig the bullets out? The blood in his hotel, did it just go away or has the hotel cleaners not found it yet?

And that scene with Clay/Gemma, just farked TBH...

so Homeland
WTF? 2 episodes in and it's all whiney family crap? i wish that whiney little bitch with the droopy bottom lip had been a bit more efficient with the razor blades. And the rest of the story is Carey going full nutjob, and fucking banking transactions? And now Saul is a massive fluffybunny. Seriously, get on with the terror shit already, if i want a complex insight into human emotional response and interaction i'll go find it. Homeland is a fucking terrorism show FFS!

I've never been bothered by the family stuff ... I actually find the whiney little bitch to be quite an interesting character TBH. But agree with most of the rest of your comments although I've never just considered it a terrorist show - just watch some 24 if that's all you want I guess. Saul has done a character change that makes Jax's seem fully developed over 10 series.
-

So, Homeland after Ep 3
Boring or what? Is there are story going to happen at any time? Or are we generally just going to watch a bunch of people we don't actually like being fucking miserable?
-

The Tomorrow People.

US rehash of the old Brit series (one of my favourite shows when I was younger). Stars Robbie Amell (cuzzy of Arrow lead Stephen Amell) as lead character and seems to have more of an underlying backstory than the original. Not bad but had to throw out a few cliches in the scene setting pilot.

For those that don't know this is the premise as descibed on wiki...

The Tomorrow People, also called Homo superior, are teenagers that, as a result of genetic mutations, develop special powers (the "three T's" of telepathy, teleportation, and telekinesis). The series focuses on Stephen Jameson, a newly-emergent member of the Tomorrow People, as was his father. His father, the most powerful of the Tomorrow People, disappeared years before the series begins, trying to find a place where they could live safely. The Tomorrow People are hunted by Ultra, an organization that uses Tomorrow People to hunt down others and neutralize them; their headquarters are designed to neutralize the powers of Tomorrow People.
-

MIght give that a look...

NEw series of Walking Dead; not a great openin gep IMO, introduced a bunch of new characters
and then killed a few off! You could see Rick was walking into that with that chick. That whole scene was bizaare and pretty much pointless IMO...although maybe it wasnt real??
Also started on Dexter finally, interesting path they are heading down for the final series (I reckon the last series had the perfect (IMO) way to end it!)
-

I see 'Sleepy Hollow' starts on Sky (box) this week. Haven't seen it and tend to avoid all of this supernatural genre of vampires, fairytales etc but this has had some good reviews and has been given a second season very early on. It is apparently got enough quirkiness to it to lift it above the other dross in it's category.
We must have different tastes in TV, I thought that was a great episode as I spent a time wondering what was going on. The hot South American chick helped as well. It's actually made me more interested in next week. It's not close to the first series though.
Saw the pilot on FTA here. A bit interesting I guess - but kind of like "Grimm" if you saw any of that. It might develop into one of those shows where you have Monster-of-the-week with a longer thread running in the background. Trying to tie myths to history.
-

Most enjoyable episode of SOA for ages
