so Homeland
WTF? 2 episodes in and it's all whiney family crap? i wish that whiney little bitch with the droopy bottom lip had been a bit more efficient with the razor blades. And the rest of the story is Carey going full nutjob, and fucking banking transactions? And now Saul is a massive fluffybunny. Seriously, get on with the terror shit already, if i want a complex insight into human emotional response and interaction i'll go find it. Homeland is a fucking terrorism show FFS!

I've never been bothered by the family stuff ... I actually find the whiney little bitch to be quite an interesting character TBH. But agree with most of the rest of your comments although I've never just considered it a terrorist show - just watch some 24 if that's all you want I guess. Saul has done a character change that makes Jax's seem fully developed over 10 series.
-

So, Homeland after Ep 3
Boring or what? Is there are story going to happen at any time? Or are we generally just going to watch a bunch of people we don't actually like being fucking miserable?
-

The Tomorrow People.

US rehash of the old Brit series (one of my favourite shows when I was younger). Stars Robbie Amell (cuzzy of Arrow lead Stephen Amell) as lead character and seems to have more of an underlying backstory than the original. Not bad but had to throw out a few cliches in the scene setting pilot.

For those that don't know this is the premise as descibed on wiki...

The Tomorrow People, also called Homo superior, are teenagers that, as a result of genetic mutations, develop special powers (the "three T's" of telepathy, teleportation, and telekinesis). The series focuses on Stephen Jameson, a newly-emergent member of the Tomorrow People, as was his father. His father, the most powerful of the Tomorrow People, disappeared years before the series begins, trying to find a place where they could live safely. The Tomorrow People are hunted by Ultra, an organization that uses Tomorrow People to hunt down others and neutralize them; their headquarters are designed to neutralize the powers of Tomorrow People.
-

MIght give that a look...

NEw series of Walking Dead; not a great openin gep IMO, introduced a bunch of new characters
and then killed a few off! You could see Rick was walking into that with that chick. That whole scene was bizaare and pretty much pointless IMO...although maybe it wasnt real??
Also started on Dexter finally, interesting path they are heading down for the final series (I reckon the last series had the perfect (IMO) way to end it!)
-

I see 'Sleepy Hollow' starts on Sky (box) this week. Haven't seen it and tend to avoid all of this supernatural genre of vampires, fairytales etc but this has had some good reviews and has been given a second season very early on. It is apparently got enough quirkiness to it to lift it above the other dross in it's category.
We must have different tastes in TV, I thought that was a great episode as I spent a time wondering what was going on. The hot South American chick helped as well. It's actually made me more interested in next week. It's not close to the first series though.
Rusty: A new TV season has started ... whats good this year?
-

Nothing.

The only new broadcast show I am still watching is the Blacklist. And after a good first two episodes, the second two have been so so.

I am watching Masters of Sex on cable, not too bad, but hasn't grabbed me. Have you watched Orange is the new Black?
-

it is behind the 'spoiler' tags now...so did you do soemthing to it?

Saw the pilot on FTA here. A bit interesting I guess - but kind of like "Grimm" if you saw any of that. It might develop into one of those shows where you have Monster-of-the-week with a longer thread running in the background. Trying to tie myths to history.
-

Most enjoyable episode of SOA for ages

Anyone watching Revolution? I'm finding the new series a bit more interesting than the first ... maybe just because I'm unsure where it's going.
-

When I get a home internet connection tomorrow I will be getting Revolution...just hope they dont have 2 'breaks' to halt any kind of following or conitnuity again!
Yep, no one died which makes a change.
Surely the forensics will tie the Marshall to the girl somehow?
They seem to have forgotten about Tig at the moment. Jax has to find a way out of that one yet.
Don't get how Clay is meant to run the guns from inside though.
-
Yep, the Tiggy thing needs to be sorted.
The Irish are going to break Clay out (according to last episode)
Forensics will definitely do the Marshall in (it fucking better, with the gun, the lino etc)
I loved Bobby coming back, i missed him.
It was good to see some stupid shit, like it was at the start, with them being petty criminals
That Irish guy is so dead.
-

Stink - not even Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D?

Haven't watched Orange is the New Black yet, will probably start when I finish Breaking Bad in the next two or so days.
-

S.H.I.E.L.D is OK. Mindless action TV.

A variation on the 'Mission Impossible' ensemble mystery / spy shows of old. Just set in the Marvel world (well the part they are allowed in due to Marvel having sold other bits to other companies (no Spiderman, no mutants). The keep away from the Avengers stuff as well apart from making it clear they are in the post 'Battle of New York' world.

They through in the odd cool special FX to keep the standards up.
