Ok.......of about 50 million posts this is your best one. I genuinely laughed more than I should ( maybe too much pinot? I've been left alone for the night )

We were spoilt in the late 70s/early 80s. Every sci fi scene looked fucken cheap and nasty compared to Star Wars.

    Case in point....

Continuing in the theme of complicated messy families, I saw this the other night. The kids are the real stars of it , they were great . Rosamund Pike was not as hot as in Reacher and the YouTube video of the nervous breakdown was hilarious.

In Darkness - Natalie Dormer and EMily Ratajkowski

Dormer plays a blind musician who hears her upstairs neighbour killed, but doesnt tell the police what she heard.

3 morgue trout pouts out of 5 hard acting to be blind moments (would be 2.5, but Dormer, as is customary, gets the girls out)

Some of her finest work was when she asked her shirt lifter hubby if he'd like to fuck her from behind and pretend she was a boy in GOT.

I'm still devastated that fucken bitch Cercei killed her.

    Ocean's Eight.

Was super disappointed by this. Wasted a great cast with a dull caper, no laughs or tension or true villains which was what made the other Ocean films worth watching. And Danny's 'death' added precisely nothing to the plot.

Two diamond necklaces out of five Met Galas.

    Black Panther.

Another strong outing by Marvel. Pretty good story line, very Shakespearean. Visually good as usual, the action was excellent. 4 illegitimate heirs to the throne vs 5 heart shaped herb thingies

    Traffik

Decentish thriller involving a bikie gang who harass a couple in the wilderness for a dirty weekend. Usual cliches and very predictable 'twist' but overall ok I guess. ( it also has a charming British villain and ubiquitous dickhead mate of the main character to try and make things interesting )

The main chick was obviously extremely cold around the chest region during filming which helps my rating.

    2.75 SS 69s out of 5 Harleys.

Agree it was meh , Sandra Bullocks had a lot of work done and her resemblance to Michael Jackson is very distracting.

    Siberia
    John Wick for your missus

    I Am Wrath
Better, but Travolta's plastic surgery is very distracting. On his way to Rourkesville

I'm assuming Liam Neesons email was down when they sent out the script for I am Wrath so they got JT instead.

Retired special ops type guy has to use his skills one more time and save the day.....pretty original premise that....

Movies like this rely on people doing dumb shit...but yeah was ok, and the British villain wasLuke Goss out of 80s pop band Bros.

Yeah he was also in Blade 2 back in the day.

I hated Bros, not just for their music but because the cute chicks at school absolutely fucken loved them.

Watched My Generation, narrated by Michael Caine. I know the 60s have been done ad nauseum but he did a great job and his interview subjects were a who's who of the swinging London scene. 4 Jean Shrimptons out of 5 Twiggys

Not sure! Pretty sure in the Japanese original movies Godzilla fights them all?
They are creating this monster universe where next King Kong is involved ( the one in Skull Island from last year)
