Miranda. She even has a riotously funny fitness video out.

My mrs read her book and apparently she was a good enough goal keeper in her day to be on the verge of playing pro women's soccer .

I thought it wason a par with the awfulness of the vicar of Dibly but it looks like I'm alone on that. I wonder if she's really funny as a stage comedian though and like a lot of them when they get their own show it's a pile of crap?

I like Miranda, it's a show I'd never watch without someone in the room watching it, but I laugh every time I see it ... I find her a hell of a lot funnier than any of the plebs on 7 Days. I'm obviously a lot more tolerant than Jegga.

TBF, I like most things, aside from the aforementioned 7 Days, Daniel Day Lewis after The Boxer, and Radiohead.

Bloody radiohead, I never understood the adulation they got and te only so got theirs I like apparently Thom Yorke apparently loathes. If I was going to lie on the bath and slit my wrists I'd have radiohead on in the background to tip me over the edge.

I dont mind Miranda so much, although her series is very samesy which IMO is the same as Mrs Browns Boys, some eps are hilarious, others are sh!t, but both only in small doses...I like Gavin and Stacy though, in particularly Smiffy and 'ness!

Back on track; Haunted (had ot check it out) and it wasnt bad, a few tingly hair on neck moments, although IMO it seemed it wasn't Ms. Beckinsale's naked torso I was looking at, so mucho disappointo on that count!

    Do I often post coherently?

Twister was on the other night, cgi and effects have come along way since it came out. It was pretty average even if you take that into account.

Checked out a few 'Best Picture' contenders over the holiday break:

- 12 Years a Slave - the frontrunner for the gong and you can see why. Brilliantly shot, with a storyline that is somewhat predictable but still utterly compelling. Hard to believe there aren't more serious films made about American slavery. Some of the stuff is confronting but it's never gratuitous. Not a movie I would necessarily watch again, but I certainly recommend it.

- Dallas Buyers Club - a pretty harrowing story about a bloke in Texas (Matthew McConaughey) who contracts AIDS in the 80s, and then starts dealing alternative treatments to other sufferers. It is quite complex, and very dark at times. Not exactly a fun Saturday night film (which is what me and my mate thought it would be, as we watched it only off the name and the star thinking it would be a rollicking crime/gambling/southern thriller/action thing). Pretty good, but not in the same class as 12 Years a Slave or Gravity.

OT - I think they basically peaked with OK Computer and everything after that was experimental weirdness. I think Muse are probably superior from a sustainability point of view.

personally i think they peaked with The Bends, which is a cracking rock album. I can see why critics and music piston wristed gibbons love OK Computer, but i just don't find it as "listenable". I would call it the most over-rated album of all time, given the plaudits it gets (Best Album to come out of the UK etc)
