Funny story. My boys went through a massive Bond stage ( they got over it before me ). I was driving, I was being tailgated and oldest ( about 8 at the time ) says in a perfect jive ass black dude accent that "You got a honky on yo tail'

Between us we can also do the Tee Hee crocodile scene word for word. Classic henchman. There's a reason he's my avatar. So loquacious for a henchie and in classic Bond tradition he woulda fucked him up if not for some luck on the part of our hero

oh shit, the blaxploitation one? yeah, gave up on that after about 20 minutes. Moore's first outing was too dandy anorexic fop after Connery and shocked me right out of the fucking thing. Although he does have some solid comic timing.

It has three classic villains. Jane Seymour is 22 and hot. JJ Pepper is a hilarious sterotype. Get back in there bitch.

Keanu has a limited range, sure, but he can act. And winning an Oscar is a meaningless measure of an actors ability.

Gary Oldman doesn’t have one, and Gywneth Paltrow does for example.

Gary Oldman is a freak and I mean that in a good way. He's probably the best most diverse actor I've ever seen.

Daniel Day Lewis is the best. That prick went from My Left Foot to Last of the Mohicans. Can box and make farking shoes. Goat.

@rancid-schnitzel I knew exactly where this was going as soon as I wrote it. He is a magnificent actor who on occasion hams the fuck out of his roles.

Good to see I'm not the only one who doesn't see the appeal of There Will Be Blood.

But he's fuckin' good in My Left Foot, In The Name of the Father and Lincoln. The Last of the Mohicans is one of my favourite movies, but I like the Michael Mann vibe. I could watch the last 10 mins repeatedly.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I am not interested in watching movies on a small screen. I very rarely watch movies on a plane for that reason.

Give me my HT system anyday! πŸ™‚

I still spin those silver thingys to listen to music too.

He's authentic. He studied people and voices from that era. If that's ham, it's my dad's awesome farking Christmas ham.

That could be the best, or worst, euphemism ever.

How would you like some of my dad's awesome christmas ham?
    Try it on Tinder.

I have been meaning to watch Gangs of New York again. I saw it on the big screen when released but not since then. I'll save it for Christmas. πŸ˜‰
