Nepia: I wonder if you genuinely like the show or you just get off going against the grain you rebel contrarian you

If they want Betty there they can at least give her something useful to do. A tanty about her son swapping her lunch for gumballs isn't exactly riveting entertainment. The show is going nowhere.

Tim: Apologise for that. No doubt there is a film with that name that has very different subject matter.

With regard to SILICON Valley, that show would be dead(er) without TJ Miller. He others mostly terrible.

Ha, if I really wanted to be contrarian I wouldn't like Game of Thrones, or TBH The Wire. But I love them both. As for Mad Men, I look forward to it every week and it has left me satisfied every week, for the first couple of seasons it did nothing for me because it didn't actually go anywhere, it was all style over substance (not really, but more than now) and Don and Roger being 'cool'.

If you can't find entertainment in Betty being bitchy and then going a bit nutso because Bobby gave away her sandwich then it appears Mad Men isn't the show for you. I'll let you know how it finishes next year if you'd like to save you the HIMYM pain I experienced?

TJ Miller is one note to me, the first time he did his shtick he was funny, subsequently it's not ... it's a bit like That Guy, I laughed at him once, the first time I saw him do his comedy, then I didn't laugh again.

I think you did say you enjoy Mad Men 7 more than Got which is very contrarian (and a little retarded).

How can you say nothing was happening in the earlier seasons of Mad Men? There were affairs, busted marriages, new owners, new firm, heart attacks, suicide, unwanted pregnancies, even some war scenes. What amazing new things are happening that get your attention now? The new computer? Betty having lunch with a friend. Yes much more interesting.

I never said Miller was a genius, but he seems like one compared to the rest of the SV cast.

I watch Mad Men before GOT on Sunday's so I am liking it more ... that's different than not liking GOT.

As for nothing happening, I didn't say nothing happened (and a bunch of that stuff you mention is from S3 onwards where I said it started getting good), I said it never went anywhere, Don never had any consequences to his actions ... the last two seasons have all been about Don facing up to his Don-ness.

At any rate, I'm happy to be watching it and am annoyed it's only got an episode left in this season.

On TJ Miller, I might have bundled up your comments with Tim's as he seems like an uber fanboi - so my response was to that as opposed to just his place in the show. I've given up on it any rate.

Bates Motel is in it's second season. i haven't watched it but have read some OK reviews. Extends the background story of Norman Bates and 'Mother'.

Anyone seen 'In the Flesh'? Looks like an interesting take on a zombie show (http://www.bbcamerica.com/in-the-flesh/about-the-show/) even won a BAFTA.

BBC America also have 'The Musketeers' coming up. Swashbuckle Series based on the Three Musketeers. Production values look good, could be worth a go (starts end June)

I have the last episode of The Musketeers to watch, nothing special or too deep, just a bit of fun...although looking on the IMDB, it is rather confusing, as it shows episode 1 does not air until 22 June....despite being the same series.

From what I understand, it has already aired in the UK.

Watched the pilot of Halt and Catch Fire. Quite an interesting story but a "mixed" episode at best. May be fatally flawed by having a "kickass chick" as a central character.
I think house of cards and to play the king, the original Francis Urquhart was far better than spacey . I lost interest in the US one, see if you can get ahold of the original . I do like the fact that both character initials are FU
