<p>Ha, if I really wanted to be contrarian I wouldn't like Game of Thrones, or TBH The Wire. But I love them both. As for Mad Men, I look forward to it every week and it has left me satisfied every week, for the first couple of seasons it did nothing for me because it didn't actually go anywhere, it was all style over substance (not really, but more than now) and Don and Roger being 'cool'.</p>

<p>If you can't find entertainment in Betty being bitchy and then going a bit nutso because Bobby gave away her sandwich then it appears Mad Men isn't the show for you. I'll let you know how it finishes next year if you'd like to save you the HIMYM pain I experienced?</p>

<p>TJ Miller is one note to me, the first time he did his shtick he was funny, subsequently it's not ... it's a bit like That Guy, I laughed at him once, the first time I saw him do his comedy, then I didn't laugh again.</p> -

There were affairs, busted marriages, new owners, new firm, heart attacks, suicide, unwanted pregnancies, even some war scenes. What amazing new things are happening that get your attention now? The new computer? Betty having lunch with a friend. Yes much more interesting.</p>

<p>At any rate, I'm happy to be watching it and am annoyed it's only got an episode left in this season.</p>

<p>I have the last episode of The Musketeers to watch, nothing special or too deep, just a bit of fun...although looking on the IMDB, it is rather confusing, as it shows episode 1 does not air until 22 June....despite being the same series. </p>

<p>Watched the Mini-series Klondike, which is supposedly based on true events. Was pretty good, bit tamer than Deadwood but set in the pretty much lawless wild North(west) Had Rob Stark as the main lead, an often unflattering Abbie Cornish as the lead female, Tim Roth playing, well, Tim Roth, but a nasty Tim Roth, ex-Shortland Streeter Martin Csokas.</p>

<p>But man life woulda been tough back in those days, trying to find a bit of gold, only for people to try and kill you for it, if the weather didn't get you first! Just rock on up to a spot, and claim it, sweet, I now own this piece of land, start digging a hole!</p> -

Not a series that'll force you to drop everything but for all the 30 years of age plus expats that've been away from home for a long time, this was a refreshing reminder of kiwi comedy and satire.<br>

David McPhail (legend growing up in the 80's) is simply superb with his anti pc honesty. Made me laugh out loud quite a lot.<br>

Part comedy, part nostalgia, part good acting, but worth a look if you've been away for a while and some classic kiwi pisstaking. <br>

BTW, if you get offended by any of the material then you are either too young and I pity you, or you're a frikkin knob<br>
