@no-quarter Maybe that's the good thing about this match. We're now able to compare players in the same game that we otherwise wouldn't be able to compare.

Leave Jordie in NZ and take bridge for the rest of the tour

I think Jordie has great potential, I wouldn't be cutting him for the fun. I'd keep him in the group and work on his confidence. Wouldn't at all surprise if in 12 months time JB has been a key player for the ABs.

I'd be ditching NMS though, he's past it and probably off to Toulon anyway. He'll always have 2015, and for that we will be eternally grateful.

Suspect the marketing people in the All Blacks will be cheering Bridge on. He’s like Matthew McConaghuey on steroids.

The 2019 SR season is going to be huge for some of these players. Some spots in the squad are definitely still up fro grabs, including the one now held by Jordie.

Bridge and Evans gave SH something to ponder in the positives, Richie M played pretty well also. But those defensive lapses would have made him shudder.

Entertaining game. Some awesome tries from both sides. Is TTT actually Aaron Smith's clone? Mo'unga, Laumape and North also very impressive. I can't see NMS playing for the ABs again, such a shame. Naholo and Barrett were a little off unlike NMS I don't think its terminal.

Mounga, Tahuriorangi and Coles seemed to be the best of the starters. Mounga and Coles need to be in the 23 next week.

Evans and Bridge best of the bench. Would like to see how both of them would go with a start but they are back to NZ unfort.

Some great tries by Japan. Concerns remain on defence for ABs. A lot of one on one misses. I lost count of how many tackles Naholo missed.

Jordie is lucky to be in the 32 for Europe. I'm not sold fullback is his best position.

I think one of the biggest concerns for Jordie ,

Right now , he is a fullback only ,

And for a player down the pecking order as he is atm , not in the top 23 , maybe that spot is better going to a utility

Weird trying to understand the selectors in regard to NMS.
He had been off the pace for so long.
Bridge could have been in the 4 nations squad.
    Wasted opportunity.

    It's not. He's a 12. I might have mentioned that once before.

He was shart today though. Very disappointing. Thought TTT was very solid. Like the look of him.

I suppose you want to be sure before you drop him for good. Let's see Bridge back up first in Super Rugby 2019, in which case he could be a keeper.

This sums it up for me as well. Jodie is only 21 so I think he&ll make a few people eat their words in the future. Not at the moment tho...

That was like an exibition game haha. A lot of guys looked good out there but I wouldn't get too carried away, we were virtually playing the Sunwolves out there. Don't see what the concern is about the defence as a lot of those guys won't see/start another test.

@african-monkey agree with most of that, but ultimately these guys are all still the top 51 players in NZ, so they should be able to defend better than they did.

Saw some posts on twitter suggesting NMS went off injured. Did anyone see that? Could see him drop out of the MABs tour if serious.
