Mentioned earlier in the thread. I saw in in 3D and some of the shots were breathtaking. Although the reconstructions with the actors were filmed on Aoraki-Mt Cook, they shot new hi def footage to cut in from Everest itself. There is an amazing 360 pan from the summit.

Holy shit, I can't think of a preview of a movie that I thought looked shittier. TBF I don't think much of the show though. He was funny as though on Graham Norton just being himself the other night.

Watched Arnold's latest movie Sabotage tonight. Was generally shit. Supporting actors were Sam Worthington, Josh Holloway and Terrance Howard. The main female character was so bloody annoying too.
-

What's 'the show'? I don't even know the actor. Just a JB fan.
-

I'm wondering if Nepia has his wires crossed with Mrs Browns Boys the movie?

A mate of mine asked me if I watched that show and told me it was hilarious. He lied.
-

Edit I see TR solved the riddle.

Crucial, did you see Jersey boys?

No, subject matter not really my thing but it looks like it's worth a watch. Is it good?

Nepia, consensus seems to be that you didn't see the vid and misread Mr Brown as Mrs Brown. Correct?

James Brown insisted on being called Mr Brown. Mrs Brown is the world's least funny irishman.

If you watched the clip you would have seen the great snip between JB and Bobby Byrd.

"Are we done Mr Byrd?"

" 'fraid not Mr Brown"

"I said, are we done?"

"I think we got more funk in the trunk"

and this great line...

"you tried to kill James Brown today! You wanna go down in history as the man who killed the funk?"

How you could think that was shit confused me.
-
I thought jersey boys was good, pretty similar to rock of ages . I'm not a huge fan of Franki Valli but it's a decent story with plenty of laughs it's also very cool seeing the story behind his songs .
I did listen to a few of their tunes after the movie and IMHO the guys in the movie are better.
You would probably appreciate seeing the brill building and the stuff going on it around the four seasons while they were there .
The cars and fashions from the era looked very cool on the big screen . I normally loathe musicals but would recommend it, -

wait, what the fuck? You liked Rock of Ages?

I see. So all this talk of hot chicks is just really like when George Michael over compensated by having hordes of hot women in his videos.

Hand in the man card, it's been revoked.
-
Fuck . Right. Off.

That movie had a smoking hot lead lots of tits and a hard rock soundtrack . Not to mention Catherine Zeta jones in a skimpy nazi outfit. The only quibble is that we never got see for ourselves whether tom Cruises characters assessment of her rack was accurate for ourselves .

Before you start on Jersey boys it was directed by that pansy of note Clint Eastwood . Fairly average chicks in it to be fair. -

i didn't even get through the first musical number before i felt my genitals beginning to retract.

cheers George, i'll youtube that shit, and fuck the rest of the movie

Mad Max 4 trailer is released. Cool to see they are filming in the same locations for some of it.Those opening shots in the trailer look to be filmed just outside of Silverton NSW looking across the plains toward the Flinders Ranges way in the distance.

(look up Silverton on streetview and the Mad Max car is parked outside the pub)

-

Looks like unless that shot was done very early in the filming it I may be wrong. They shifted filming to Namibia as there was too much rainfall in the Oz deserts that year and the widflowers sprung up.

That scene sure looks like the lookout just out of town though. I have photos that match it.
-

Finally saw The Raid tonight. Shit, what an awesome action movie. I was a bit worried it wouldn't live up to the hype but it did.

I only have one issue:
The final fight: throughout the movie Rama has been smashing everyone and the Mad Dog character only just won against the Sergeant. Come the final fight and Mad Dog becomes an even better fighting machine and it takes Rama and his brother to beat him. Seemed a bit silly to me, but not enough to take away my enjoyment of the movie.
Looking forward to part 2 now.
