    Spurs beat the Blazers today

My NBA app send me notifications during every Spurs game, and i have lost count of how many games recently we have either led at 3/4 time, or been down by only a point, and then gone on to lose it at the death.

Probably because Pop is a senile fluffybunny

haha i thought of you last week when Pop was lamenting the modern game, where shooting threes is the only stat that matters. You two have a lot in common

@barbarian not only the standings but from day to day the results are surprising.

Take the Spurs who get their backsides handed to them at home but then beat a good Blazers side today.

My Clippers lost today but were right there in it despite getting dominated on the boards.

yea the form lines are fucked. Makes for a great season, especially if we get some teams that may have thought they could cruise the regular season setting themselves up for playoffs, who now actually have to dig in.

Holy shit, just reading about a guy who had a 9-leg in-game multi in the Spurs v Blazers game yesterday, with 8 guys having to get points levels, and one to also pull in rebounds.

$200 bet turned in to over $500,000.

With the caveat that the Warriors will still win.

But the first 95% of the season should be great. And if Durant leaves the Warriors (or Klay), then we could be on the brink of an all-time great season in 19/20. It's a big 'if' though.

at full strength the Warriors still win easy. Without out 40% of their starting team they are suddenly only the same as everybody else... Cousins and how he comes in to the side is the only remaining question mark.

Steven Adams top scores for both teams in OKC's demo job on Detroit.

Luka Doncic is the funnest player to watch in the NBA. Easily the best rookie of his class, a genuine superstar, already, and only 19. This kid should be an All Star as a rookie.

An article promoting the reasons why Adams should be an All Star this year

    Matt Ellentuck  /  Dec 11, 2018  /  nba

Steven Adams is the throwback center of your modern NBA dreams

Steven Adams is the throwback center of your modern NBA dreams

Adams deserves to make his first All-Star appearance after proving outdated bigs can still thrive in today’s NBA.

If Adams was to make All Star that would surely be the Halberg done and dusted. His 'journey' has been a model story of application and willingness to learn and improve.
Averaging 15/10 this season but has slowly improved almost every personal stat in his 5 years.
In a sport awash with pandered egos he must be a franchise owner and coaches dream

@crucial Saw that. SB Nation isn't always accurate but they are here. Still Adams is on a small market team and as good as he is its not likely he'll get enough votes to be picked.

What is a small market team?

@crucial they have a small fan base and not many nationally televised games. So unless youre a superstar like Westbrook or George on that team its hard to get noticed by the wider nba public. Even if you are probably currently a top 5 centre.

OKC are my team, have been since they were the Seattle Sonics and Shawn Kemp was playing. So I was obviously stoked when we got a kiwi and hes basically my favourite player now. He plays hard, sometimes too hard, efficient basketball sprinkled with the odd highlight dunk or alley-oop. But if you follow him in social media one thing you find out quickly is how many people, usually fans on opposing teams, are shocked at how good he is. I'm not because I watch every game he plays but the wider basketball public seem to call him "underrated" a whole lot. For me hes under utilised but the point is he just doesn't get the high profile attention usually required to be an All Star.

The Raptors didn't even need Kawhi to put a beat-down on the Warriors playing at home, and with their stars back.
