Nepia moving on from the drivel you choose to watch to more quality viewing I think season four probably the best season of the Walking dead. Some of it is bloody hard to watch though.

I don't find the Blacklist chick that hot - as I said, her hair is weird, the Indian chick is pretty nice though. I'll get back to you when I've watched a couple more episodes to let you know if it's gotten tedious.

I'm pretty glad I've got another whole season of The Walking Dead to watch before I catch up!

The Walking Dead S3 rant! Spoilers abound, but as I'm likely the only one still this far behind I won't cover them up.

Wow, it's like the writers peered into the future, read my mind and then wrote parts of this season especially for me.
Wifie - gone, yay. Blondie - gone, yay. Carl - took him from whiny kid to bad ass. Maggie - didn't kill her off.

In less surprising writing we see T-dog exit just as another black male character arrives. Oh well T-dog you lasted a season longer than anyone expected!

Great first half of the season I thought and then a fairly poor and meandering second half with a crappy finale.

Things that really annoyed me this season: There's an impending war with the Governor and they don't post anyone on watch in the towers a bunch of times. In the early episode they risk everything to clear the yard of walkers yet when the Governor brings down the fence they don't try to retake the yard and fix the fence. They don't even spend time wiping out the walkers that just wander up to the fence. FFS, clear the nearest walkers and then get out and fix the fence.

The final battle was stupid. Why would the Governor and his army just retreat when only Glenn and Maggie are shooting? The Governor went all a bit cartoon villian at the end and in the real world one of his two underlings would have shot him after he shot all their people you'd think.

Why on earth would they bring all the people to their raggedy old prison that has walkers on all sides, walkers inside and a big hole on one side, rather than just move to the town which has solid defences, houses, a generator, gardens etc etc. Another annoying thing is that they'll have all these background people like Lost used to have that will play no part in the series. The Lost ones used to piss me off, there were only a finite number of people in the crash yet the extras changed all the time. And often there were burly guys doing nothing. And the absolute worst was when one of the main characters would return from some mission and they'd all rush around and stand around them in a semi circle and I'm thinking WTF you've never even interacted before. Grrrr.

Things I liked: Bad ass Carl. Although I think they mishandled the scene where he shoots the kid who stumbled upon them. In the aftermath they were playing it as Carl going over the top when Herschel and Rick discussed it. But when they filmed it they made it seem like the guy wasn't putting down his gun. At the time I thought it was absolutely the right thing to do and not an example of Carl going over the top.

I didn't like sword woman at first, maybe because she was tied to Blondie but I was happy she was around by the end. Good to see the black guy from the pilot as I've been wondering why they forgot about him.

Good to see Cutty from The Wire. It looks like he'll have a role carrying on - hopefully not as T-dog Mk II.

I still like Darryl and I think they made good use of Merle this time round.
So that's S3 done and dusted, on to S4 of my favourite love to hate but actually really love show.

I finished Falling Skies a few weeks back, and have to say easily the worst of the 4 seasons, storyline was weak, a few annoying characters, although they killed 1 off.

S2 of Under the Dome (finale tonight I think) enjoying it, while Stephen King is involved I think it is now a long way from the book?

Hell on Wheels (half way through S2) pretty good, although it is just lacking something, cant quite put my finger on it, but it could be very good, but doesnt quite make it.

Gotham starts on TV2 on Sunday

That was the story in the book, they were built by a bunch of soldiers in the early days of the outbreak. The soldiers then took over the town and treated everyone like shit and the governor killed their leader then the townspeople killed the rest of the soldiers. It was a pretty long perimeter to maintain I guess.

Thats more convincing than your devious maids denial I have to say.

Too bad it didn't come across like that on the TV show as that would have been convincing. I haven't read any of the books.

They also wanted a certain amount of walkers around the fence of the prison to dissuade people from attacking it but not enough to tear the fence down. The governor attacked twice, the first time they ran out of bullet the second they mowed down the walkers with a tank and then smashed their way and ran out of ammo.

Nice try on the devious maids disassociation you can admit it. I won't judge you, I can't speak for everyone else here.

The power of television eh? People debating the plausibility of minor plot detail in a show built around the premise that zombies exist and wander around trying to eat people.
