Have you watched the original Bridge? Bron/Broen, a Swedish and Danish co production. It is so much better than the US remake. The first season is somewhat similar, the second is completely different. The two protagonists in Bron (Saga NorÃn and Martin Rohde) are amazing.

Of the new sitcoms, most have already been shit canned. I thin 5 have been cancelled. The one that is getting the highest ratings is Black-ish. It is OKish IMO. Nothing too great, but not complete crap. The only other on I have seen is Marry Me, starring Ken Marino and Casey Wilson. The creator of the show is married to Casey Wilson, who he met on his other show Happy Endings. I watched cause Happy Endings was awesome. Only 3 episodes deep so far, and it is so-so so far.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to suggest the original.I plan to watch it at some stage, when I can be bothered with the subtitles.

I'd like to watch Marry Me, for the Happy Endings style, but I really don't like Marino that much. He's ok as an annoying side character but as the lead I think he'll do my head in. Sucks that Happy Endings isn't on any more, stupid people with Nielsen boxes.

I might check out Blackish as it has Anderson and Fishburne.
-

So you just didn't read the Spanish subtitles on half of the American version?

Poor Nero, although he could do better I'm sure
After a season that has been dragging the chain on this major point, it sure moved quickly once the seed was sown. I was worried that Sutter would spend a couple of eps with Jax fighting the realisation of the truth.
I did see one interview with him where he explained that if you look at the timeline of the eps, all of this actually happens reasonably fast. It just seems like weeks because it's one ep per week.
Thank god Nero has avoided being caught in the fallout. I had thought that could be a plotline.
As Jax has already laid out his plans to deal with the situation (except what to do about Gemma), this is pointing to some kind of twist I think, otherwise it's just Jax winding up affairs and driving away with Wendy and the kids for a new life.
-

sons
Well, that escalated quickly. Great to see Gemma lose everything, including her fucking mind. Poor Jax, he'll be fucked up in the head right now, everything that has gone wrong is all his fault based on a lie from his mum. That's fucked up.

2 episodes to go (a break next week i think? (thanksgiving in the states?), 2 hours to tie it all up. I winder where we are heading, at this stage i have no idea. I still think Jax is going to die, although now i don't think Nero will be the one to kill him.

Nero really is a good character by the way
-

Interesting the EPs this season have all been an hour or more...many other seasons were 45+/- to be an hour with ads...
Yeah Nero is a great character, alot like Opie I reckon.

Jax will probably have to do a runner too to avoid the wraith of the other Sons chapters.
-

I think Sutter's deal with FX has always allowed him to freedom to have eps as long as he likes. The running times of Sons has always been all over the show, it seems as they've just decided to go long this entire season - despite the fact they have had less of the usual ending song montages.
Smits is great as Nero, just as he was great as Santos in the final seasons of The West Wing, he seems to have found his niche as the late addition great character to shows. I care more about his fate than I do about any other character's at the moment TBH.
-

Smits also did a Season in Dexter, in which he was also good!

-

Finished a series called Legends (Sean Bean, Ali Larter) who are part of the FBI DCO (Deep Cover Operations?)

Was ok, I have some issues with the Legends (character they go into when going undercover) but thought it was a good time filler, although some of the fight/battle scenes were a bit clumsy.
-

Alex Gibney is adapting Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief as a documentary for HBO.

Nepia, have you watched the new USA comedy Benched (I know you were looking for new comedy shows)? I have heard it is pretty funny, but have not watched it yet. Stars Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings, Scrubs) and Jay Harrington (Better Off Ted) The premise is Coupe is a high priced corporate laywer who has a meltdown and ends up as a public defender. There has only been 3 or 4 episodes, I am planning to give it a try this week sometime.

I've been listening to Alan Sepinwall about its prospects and was waiting for a few more episodes before watching it. Two cast members from two of my favourite comedies!

My worry with the Happy Endings people is whether they'll still be as funny without each other. Damon Wayans Jr brought down New Girl for half a season before they figured out what to do with him. I didn't really like Adam Pally TBH and haven't liked him on the odd Mindy episode I've seen.
-
The walking dead writers are pricks , making me give a shit about Beth and giving her character some depth and then last night..... The most disturbing part was seeing Darrell finally let something get to him and make him cry .

Now I have to wait till February. Pricks. -
Worst bit
is I saw a meme on Facebook before I watched with Darryl carrying her body, and despite me scanning past quickly the 3 big letters R.I.P made it all too obvious what was gonna happen.

Seemed a bit of a wasted storyline in the end to me...sucks for Maggie...yay Beth's alive...uh oh Beth's dead...
