@MajorRage If she gets back here (UK) then the knife has well and truly been twisted and we may as well all do whatever the hell we want. What an insult to even say she doesn't regret it, clearly shows she's not even smart enough to blag it and last thing we need is more imbeciles. Hate that I live in a country that is the laughing stock of the world. So sad to even say it,it's an embarrassment at the moment.

    @RLx31 @MajorRage

She will get back here, virtually certain. God knows how many human rights laws and precedents will he cited. Likely outcome is the her kid will be nurtured by our welfare state and taught by it’s rabid mother to hate the system that has allowed it to live and flourish. It’s a shit show but it’s highly likely. Does it signify the end of civilisation in the UK? No, that would be the continued publication of the Daily Mail.

Yep, suspect your right. The point she was 15 is s fair one. However she’s 19 now And says she has no regrets.

@Catogrande What sickens me most is that they will see themselves as "refugees" who willingly "Fled the UK" (what a joke "fled" -escaping her Alevels the poor lamb?) and now will be lining up with their human rights wanting to come back and yeah it will happen... All those innocent people, babies, helpless citizens caught up in it, genuinely in need of asylum, who never had that opportunity to flee oppression and SHE chose to go there!! fluffybunny and I never use that word!

Mate, I’m not happy about it. As far as I’m concerned she can sit in her refugee camp drinking dysentery flavoured water until she dies. Sadly she is now a cause celebre so she will be over here and every now and then be dug up by the press to make some point or another.

@MajorRage Yes they can say "she was only 15" but she had her big girl pants on when she took herself off on a journey like that! She knew what she was doing and hasn't denied it so she should be prosecuted. Even if she was "brainwashed" it isn't a get out of jail card in my eyes, that itself means she remains a huge risk to being radicalised again. I don't believe they can be rehabilitated either.

Strongly disagree with the ideas that she's made her bed etc.
    I understand those sentiments
    BUT
We must have and allow a path to redemption.
People must be able to redirect themselves from weak ideologies
Otherwise they'll be even more bitter and there'll be a real division.

Everybody on here has changed opinions over their lives, mostly through better education. It's a natural progression in life. Our society depends on it.

On the one hand we're disgusted by a death sentence for apostasy, on the other we want to condemn someone that wishes to leave this ghastly extreme aspect of that religion. That gives someone no options

The cornerstone of a truly vile ideology popular at the moment, is one of permanent punishment, where an apology for a trivial "transgression " will not let you keep your job. We can't subscribe to that nonsense.

As emotive as it is, there must be a path to redemption.

We did for Majid Nawaz and that's been highly beneficial for society

@Siam I think it's more about her no regrets statement now as an adult. You then consider that Britain has limited resources and can only take a limited number of people in so why would you preference someone who is for the murder of non-believers over someone who wants to live a peaceful life.

Having said that I can all but guarantee she will get in. With a free house, benefits for life...hell she'll probably be a Labour MP in a year or two.

But I'm very jaded..hopefully she proves me wrong and can actually do some good.

@Rembrandt definitely should be a process of investigation, perhaps a parole system, monitoring her activities and movements, check her integration into society etc. If not satisfied, incarcerate or judge based on her threat to society. Monitor her, establish if she's willing to give information on grooming etc. Learn from her situation.

I don't think her situation rests primarily on a quote from mainstream media. Gauge her contrition and act accordingly. If one British citizen can be put in maximum security for filming on steps, then this girl can be equally scrutinised.

I'm mindful that the extreme islamists laugh at the wests weak fisted strategy for Islam, we make their hate easier, we accommodate their evil way of life.

Banishing her further fuels their agenda

@Siam suspect it'd be tougher to kick her out of England than keep her out, only marginally I reckon, but still tougher.

Yup she might have gotten some sympathy if she said she regrets what she did she was a stupid kid who didn’t think of the consequences of her actions,
She didn’t run away and stay over at her mates house. She turned her back in her country and joined a terriost organisation that killed god knows how many people.

@Virgil No quote of her saying that about no regrets.

She did say this, "I'm not the same silly little 15-year-old schoolgirl who ran away from Bethnal Green four years ago," Begum said in the interview with the Times.

@Virgil and is only trying to return as they lost... so it's not like she's come to her senses and walked away from the winning side. By the limited info so far it appears she still believes in the cause too.

@Siam (whoops forgot to tag you) I applaud your stance on rehab and how that might help broader engagement with extremists. Reading the blurb about losing two kids I couldn't help but think that would add another layer of trauma.

@Paekakboyz Yeah mate, it's all about the major objective - for me that is complete eradication of militant Islam.

I view the girl in the same light as the drug issue. She's a user at the end of the chain. It's the kingpin we need to get.

Look after her, send a message to others that they can leave this terrorist organisation. I actually believe most of the recruited kids come to realise the SNAFU they are in.

Persecute her and Jonny Jihad tells the others, "see your society hates you. Want some more heroin?"

Leaving that religion safely is a massive and overlooked problem

I don't think shitcunts like this really cause racism. You've got to be a shitcunt yourself if you're racist because of another shitcunt trying to game the system.

I note that his lawyer has said he'll likely quit if he runs with it (I just wrote a sentence about disbarring the lawyer in Fern fashion before actually having a read of the article).
