<p>[spoiler] Well, Dewey Crowe's last hurrah didn't last very long. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Bloody surprised they did that TBH as he's the comic relief so I thought he'd hang around but it certainly shocked me. [/spoiler]</p>

<p>Finally got around to starting to watch the Knick. I'm quite enjoying it despite Clive Owen, it kind of helps that he's playing a god awful character and that some of the other characters are interesting. I'm still baffled why it aired on Cinemax rather than HBO, if it was on HBO I'm sure it would have been more critically lauded, just because it's HBO (kind of like Boardwalk Empire, I thought it was a good show, but feel it gets more kudos being on HBO despite the fact it's nowhere near the level of their great shows).</p>

<p>The Leftovers: The disappearance of people, multiple cults, a possibly nutso lead character, I thought this was a great show, and at no time did I ever really have any idea what was actually going on and where it was going and it left as many questions unanswered as answered. I'm surprised they're making a second series TBH.</p> -

<p>Finished S4 of Hell on Wheels, looks like they'll be returning to a simple story line with the next series, Cullen Bohannen be pissed!</p> -

<p>On the plus side, you've got to respect a production that knows the history of TV series' is littered with instances of a show dying when it gets into time travel. So fuck it, START with time travel.</p> -

That was worth the wait, looks like it's building to a messy confrontation . -
<p>I just got around to watching Top of the Lake. Hmm, what to say? It was definitely style over substance for me. I'm not saying it was bad but it wasn't the show the critics raved about at the time it came out.</p>

<p>The narrative was pretty off some of the time, the characterisation was all over the show at other times, and the tone didn't seem realistic. I can see why US TV critics went bonkers over it because it seemed unique and a lot deeper than what it actually was.</p>

<p>Aside from her accent Moss was pretty decent. Holly Hunter was just bonkers. I'm not sure why they couldn't have found a Kiwi actor to play David Wenham's role so at least one of the leads was a Kiwi.</p>

<p>The absolute stupidest thing about the show was making her character Sydney based. If she was Auckland based then it's entirely believable that she's been seconded for this case while down there, but being an Oz cop is stretching it a bit.</p> -

<p>For all the 24 fans, or more importantly Eliza Cuthbert fans, I assumed this was a joke, but nope its a real series coming in March. Hard to express how sad this looks</p>

<p>That was a great show. On paper a show with Eliza Cuthbert and Kelly Brook in it should be worth watching, but if they crammed all the best bits of the show into the trailer I doubt it.</p>
