Along with a lot of the recent Star Wars movies which barely had female leads - mostly females had strong roles alongside strong male leads, instead of female leads with make sidekicks.

By all means let YOUR 11yo daughter watch Aliens. Mine would not.

They cover the Captain Marvel stuff pretty fairly. For me it was like Antman where you can’t remember anything about the movie two days later. Except Antmans lead had charisma.
