I'd take the first Iron Man anyday over any other Marvel movie. Avengers was good, thoroughly enjoyed that too.

I finally got round to watching Fury last night. Thought is was a good film but fell someway short of all the hype. Strange that whilst I enjoyed the film it left me a little disappointed.

Enjoyed Fury but the end sequence pretty much covered angle on [spoiler]How not to finish off a tank and its crew! Fucks sake that part just threw out all the realism they'd worked into the film imo[/spoiler]

Nolte was a beautiful man back then. The film was Who'll Stop the Rain. Sadly the DVD and HD-rip (from MGM-HD channel) were both pretty, pretty shitty. 
That film was a curious mix. The underlying theme was disgust at the parasites (corrupt cops etc) upon heroin users, but the movie got a bit fantastical. For most of its time though the film focused on how barbaric and corrupt treatment of people could be because they were fucked so hard by the extreme sentences and prohibitions of the drug war.
 
Some nice shots of Berkeley in it, including Cody's Books (Moe's is a much better store though).

American Sniper: Don't get the hype. It was ok, but pretty lightweight as a character piece, and a bit suspenseless as an action flick.

Finally got around to seeing Big Hero 6 and I really enjoyed it. I still think it was a travesty that Lego Movie wasn't nominated and didn't win best animated feature but Big Hero 6 is an admirable second best.
 
Disney must sit around counting their money these days - they own Pixar, Marvel and the Star Wars franchise. The mouse is killing it.

Absolutely fucking loved it. I watched it again immediately after it finished. Best ending ever!
 
Colin Firth completely redeems his earlier outings in "Pride and who the fuck cares" and all those other movies where he plays he essentially the same guy.

Chappie - apparently it is getting bad reviews and flopping at the box office. It's the latest Neil Bloemkamp movie. I enjoyed it, it's a cross between Robocop and Short Circuit, set in Jo'burg, with a robotic policeman who gains AI. It stars Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Waever, Dev Patel and Die Antwood (both of them in roles equal to Patel and Jackman in time and importance - and I thought they were really good, although TBF the characters were basically just based on them).

I saw the trailer for Mama Mia, it'd be interesting to know outside of money what motivated Firth and Brosnan to attach their names to a movie that looks as abhorrent to a heterosexual male as that one looked in the trailer.
