I didn't say they couldn't. I just don't find Clarkson funny anymore and he's a fluffybunny.
-
Hope they aren't setting Raylan up for the finale...

OK, I persevered and after giving Breaking Bad a short rest tried to get into it again but gave up. I just can't get into the characters, I find them all unlike-able and annoying. The only one I got interested in was Jesse's girlfriend and then she was gone.

I guess I need characters that make me want to know what happens to them, to get involved with their stories....

Might give Better Call Saul a go as he was at least interesting and his only back story has potential.

Killing time until GoT and Orphan Black come back now.
-

I found Hank to be a likeable character. Season 4 and 5 were definitely pretty awesome seasons. I don't get why people root for Walt though.
-

Been watching Better Call Saul.

Enjoying it way more than BB.

Same production style but the characters are way better. Even though Saul is a dick on the surface, his character is quickly added to with backstory and supporting characters that create empathy. Has some good scripting too. The downside in the early eps were a couple of idiots that reminded me way too much of early Jesse from BB. At least they went quickly.
-
That will be the end of that show as even though he is a bit of a 'head the people that watched that show tended to love him
-

That's a strong decision by the BBC. Top Gear is a big earner for them, and i doubt it will be without Clarkson. Still, rules is rules Harry, even HR ones

I liked him, he's an arrogant, braying piston wristed gibbon, but he knew it, and played the part to perfection. I liked his rants against hand-wringers, and found his general disdain for others opinions an amusing character (faked or real, it doesn't matter, it's on TV, he's not a mate). He does go too far, the slope comment was too far (or not, maybe he just should have said faggot, apparently that's not really abusive), and he deserves censure for those instances. But i found him far less disagreeable than many others on television.

Pretty much the end of a show that i enjoyed whenever i watched it.
-

While we are on the BBC, i discovered the BBC First channel the other night. Some good drama on that. A couple that i started that look alright were a Cold War drama called "The Game", a political drama called "Secret State" and an interesting take on the british gangster story, where the head of a crime family gets Alzheimers called "The Fear". All were very watchable

Anyone sad over this?

No.

Now he's got some time on his hands maybe someone could forward him the link to the "faggot" thread and he could share his views with us .

Keep an eye out for "Peaky Blinders" M4L. Excellent drama with an awesome performance from our Sam Neil
-

Is anyone watching The Last Man on Earth? I liked the first couple of episodes but the main character just crossed into completely annoying after being borderline (I expect on purpose). I want to like it more than I do I just don't.

6 new Episodes of X Files ordered

http://tvline.com/2015/03/24/x-files-revival-reboot-six-new-episodes-fox/

The truth is <del>out there</del> right here: The X-Files is indeed returning to Fox, with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their respective roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Fox has officially ordered a six-episode continuation of its phenomenally successful supernatural drama, to shoot this summer and (presumably) air at some point next season. (An official airdate remains TBD.)

“I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,†said X-Files creator Chris Carter, who will oversee the new episodes. “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.â€

The X-Files ended its nine-season run on Fox in May 2002, but the franchise was resurrected on the big screen in 2008â€s The X-Files: I Want to Believe, a follow-up to 1998â€
s The X-Files: Fight the Future. When last we saw Mulder and Scully in Believe, they were grudgingly helping the FBI find some missing women/bust up a bizarre, Frankenstein-like operation in Virginia. Also important to know: The bureau had pardoned Mulder for going on the lam (at the end of the seriesâ€
run), Scully had returned to her medical career, and the partners were still romantically entangled and living together.

Duchovny will next be seen in NBCâ€s Charles Manson-themed drama Aquarius, while Anderson has Season 3 of Hannibal on deck. Coincidentally, the two shows will air back-to-back on Thursdays this summer. News of the X-humation comes roughly a year after Fox jump-started another one of its marquee franchises, 24, with a limited-series order. Although Live Another Day didnâ€
t make much noise in the ratings, it was well-received by critics and fans alike.

“We had the privilege of working with Chris on all nine seasons of The X-Files — one of the most rewarding creative experiences of our careers — and we couldnâ€t be more excited to explore that incredible world with him again,†said Fox chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden in a statement. “The X-Files was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture — yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning. Few shows on television have drawn such dedicated fans, and weâ€
re ecstatic to give them the next thrilling chapter of Mulder and Scully theyâ€
ve been waiting for.â€

any of the Banshee watchers seen Banshee Origins?

Looks like a bunch of short stories (say about 40 2 minute eps) set prior to the death of the real Lucas Hood
-

I watched a few during S1. Thanks for the reminder I must go watch them.
The best 'origins' stories seem to be coming in the show itself at the moment -

I havent seen any, so I guess it will fill in some gaps?
