I am so rapt to hear this. I struggle to understand why both have been repeatedly overlooked for Super rugby, and hope they can be contracted for 2020.

Listening to the club rugby round-up, apparently Jack Grooby is "gone for the season" with a knee injury. Not sure whether that is just the club season or the NPC as well.
His club, Stoke has recruited a Welsh halfback - former Wales U20 player - Declan Smith - who the Mako will doubtless be looking at. @MiketheSnow

In other bad news, NZs oldest rugby club, Nelson - is only able to field a 17 man team this weekend. I think they were still beating one of the Marlborough clubs at halftime!
