    Assume dragons copulate sexually, jesus this show is wall to wall incest and sibling sex!

    @Siam is it just assumed the eggs all came from were from the same mommy and daddy?

    That said, the incest theme is there for the Targaryen family, why not thier dragons!

    saw a bit of info that the Dragons are gender fluid (unsure what their preferred pronoun is), so they can be what's needed at any given time. Don't know if that was ever in the tv series, but it adds some spice to there being more dragons around. Guessing that they'll come looking for mom/dad and will follow Dany/Jon due to family ties??

    Would be super juicy if the Free Company had somehow gotten their hands on them and trained em up. Why rent out to Cersi if you can bring in extra fire power, nuke Dany and co then take over KL in its entirety?

    @Paekakboyz while appropriate in the current social climate, that is actually plausible (although 'reptiles' arent known for that, er, ability are they?)

    @taniwharugby who said they're reptiles? There are heaps of animals that change gender as required, something that flies and breathe fire, being gender fluid is no big shock! Anyway I don't think they were ever given sexes in the series, so probably dunt need fluidity or hermaphrodite dragons. Maybe tied into the gender neutral Targaryen language? Given names based on make and female ancestors of Dani, but not gender/sex

    There's also parthenogenesis, DYI baby making. Some snakes do it

    @Machpants hence the 'reptiles'

    Assuming that as a lizard-like creature they could well be a reptile of sorts...at any rate, this is a magical world, where anything is possible.

    The dwarf apparently has targeryian blood and explains why they allowed him to set the free when they were in a dungeon in an episode about 5 years ago.
    Could make an effective dragon jockey

    @taniwharugby said in GOT - there will be spoilers:

    @Kirwan shame Drogon? wasnt as agile as Rhaegal in being able to avoid those big arse spears.

    Duno how you guys remember their names, bloody hope there aren't anymore for that reason, silly names.

    They're named after the important men in Dany's life: Khal Drogo her late husband, and her two brothers Viserys and Rhaegar.

    That's why she rides Drogon, rather then the other two. Drogon is also the biggest dragon (like Drogo the man), as he wasn't kept in captivity in Mereen for several years like Rhaegal and Viserion were, which stunts a dragon's growth.

    John riding Rhaegal is symbolic as it was named after his secret father (not that he knew this at the time). I say "it" as dragons are gender fluid in the books, as a few other ppl noted.

    It's also symbolic that Viserion was the dragon the Night King resurrected after death to fight against the other two. Viserys the man turned on his sister Dany in season 1, threatening to kill her in order to get Khal Drogo to give him his army, before getting killed by molten gold topping on his head.

    What shits me about the TV series is that the books are full of cool links/symbolism/foreshadowing which don't come through in the show. I guess some of that is necessary to fit all the detail of thousands of pages of writing into (only!) 8 seasons.

    To be fair the show did get in a few throwback zingers from Bran, like "chaos is a ladder" to Littlefinger in season 7 and "the things we do for love" to Jamie in season 8.

    @RLx31 had to watch that a few times to see the bloody things!

    Thinking back to S1, where did the eggs come from?

    Might just be birds but in that scene of the trailer Dany is staring out looking quite content... Methinks more dragons,I hope anyway
    Re eggs.. Weren't they dormant or something can't quite remember either

    They were a wedding gift from the protector of Danerys and Viserys, the guy that brokered her marriage to Drogo. Can't remember the character's name or where he said he got the eggs from. He was played by Roger Allam is about all I can recall.

    That was Illyrio Mopatis (I looked that up). It appears they've just spliced his character together with Varys now.

    Once again, better than the show. I particularly like

    "It's like a meta-message to the audience telling us the gods, the prophecies, and the magic in the story won't be explained. So don't think about it"

    Some one pointed out in the comments

    Arya to Jon: Family have to stick together
    nek minute
    Arya to Hound: I'm not coming back either

    I just noticed that the Golden Company are outside the walls of King's Landing in the preview. Obviously that is standard military tactic in that world, build castles then defend them outside

    @Machpants not an uncommon tactic in alot of battles...tough building a castle and walls to keep 10s of thousands safe inside...except Winterfell.

    Battle is fought outside and directed form the inside...unless you have dragons, then you fuck off and fly around in the fog

    @taniwharugby When it's as big as King's Landing, I don't think they'd have a problem!
