@Hooroo Yes, indeed. Apart from a few Black Ferns' and school boys' games there won't be much rugby to watch or discuss. But, finally, some time for other sports.
Bless! All I heard reading that is "No Rugby"
@Hooroo worse if the Black Caps have to finish thier UK Holiday early too!

lets be honest, this is the most traffic a thread has got before a game anyway. this place has been a dead zone so far this year. And most of what is posted is inane shit
old jagsy might be a strange fruit, but at least he's kicked the hornets nest a bit.

@Jaguares4real maybe a bit more time on the fern will show we are typically interested in a bunch of stuff around and in addition to sport. If you've have been lurking for a while you've missed a bit.
You didn't call them meatheads but an earlier post clearly stated you don't expect as much of them as politicians or presumably other 'professionals'?. Why is that?

ads but an earlier post clearly stated you don't expect as
This is a kiwi forum predominantly focused on rugby with other topics mentioned but that's a small point compared to your 2nd point
Rugby players have a set of skills who entertain
Politicians are elected officials big difference IMO who have a say in your life
Doctors Nurses also have a more profound involvement in our lives so are held to a higher standard

there is no higher standard when it comes to beating on people. women, men, kids. it doesn't matter. I think i kind of see what you are getting at, but i really disagree with it.

One of my aims is to rattle some cages :face_screaming_in_fear: :face_screaming_in_fear:
Provoke some debate with contrarian POVs
Not a fan of cosy consensus, too similar to circle jerking

I like having @Jaguares4real here; provides some healthy challenge to groupthink. SOmetimes steps into fanboi status, but hell - it's good fun and challenges us.

There we go :clapping_hands: :clapping_hands:
A bit of diversity is a pleasant change to our intellectual diets and the truest form of diversity
No point in having everyone look different if we all largely agree with each other

@nzzp yeah unfortunately we have lost many of our 'international' posters over the years, for a variety of reasons

That why I'm expecting every Kiwi rugby fan on this forum who doesn't support Canterbury to be supporting the Jaguares tomorrow night

no no, that's not how it works. Internally we bicker and fight, but when some foreign invader comes in, we circle the wagons. We are all honorary Cantabs this week. I'v even blacked out a couple of my teeth in support
-

If there's a Kiwi team in the final, I'll support that Kiwi team. Easy.
you are supporting the Crusaders? no!!
