The "Win Predictor" has India as 70% favourite. Surely it is at least 50:50 now?
A win predictor won't be able to calculate momentum or how the pitch is playing or how we are bowling. It will only be able to look at past results. 5 an over with 7 wickets in hand and you probably should be favourites. Problem for India is they are on the back foot and could easily fold here.

In other words it is a total waste of time. I am a little surprised it does not factor in the expected score of a team that is 6/3 after 5 overs (as it then was). That should be a part of the equation for a Win Predictor.

It does factor it in, but it can't tell if 249 was due to the pitch or NZ's batting.
Like any model it's going to work well providing conditions are relatively normal, but this pitch is an outlier.

Ordinarily I'd feel sorry for a player getting cut off by an LBW decision like that. It is doubly delicious that it is an Indian player.

Why? It pitched in line and was very likely hitting the stumps. Not a bad decision by the umpire by any stretch. I feel sorry for players given out when it clearly isn't, but that's what the DRS is there for.
