<p>I said a committee of 6 above with half having appropriate training and proven work experience and the other half related skills. Like a flag expert and head of an adverting agency</p>

<p>Ha, it was the Hundertwasser Art Museum I referred to earlier that went to referendum up here...</p>

<p>I looked at that Art Museum's plans - it looked nice. Would check out if I was up in Whangarei. Anyway, Hundertwasser who was a famous artist obviously though a koru, or a 'corporate logo' could be acceptable for a national flag. Good thing for Winger he wasn't on the panel!</p> -

<p>Where is this flag design industry in which BJ could have gained work experience?</p> -
<p>Graphic designers, public relations experts, media experts, imaging teams, marketing folks - basically every professional to do with design and representation all went into a room together to come up with an iconic logo, for an iconic sporting event.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>After significant, time and costs, they represented and unveiled their final design, (labelling it catchy, modern, exciting and all sorts of other marketing type words), to huge fanfare and accolades. Designers the world over were all blown away that such a modern and exciting twist could be put in the most traditional of events in the most traditional of countries.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>When the design was shown to the globe, they rest of the planet immediately saw the same thing. A famous 8 year old cartoon character performing fellatio. There is no right and wrong process. But what can be viewed by many as the most right process, has in history proved to come up with the most wrong result.</p> -

There's a thread on planet rugby about the flag , reading the posts of the supporters of the red peak - don , eugenius and a couple of others should be enough to turn you off it. I think the saddest thing is every post they make had something pathetic about Key in it.

That's really odd. I don't see how supporting Red Peak is a way of sticking it to John Key. Seriously, Key must look at some of these people and wonder what the fuck they are even talking about.<br><br>
It's sad that people's personal agendas are getting in the way of NZ choosing a new flag for itself. -

<p>I worked in a commercial Interior company many years back</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The head male designer was a little outrageous but did outstanding work. He knew what the companies wanted. So he would wear a certain type of clothes or choose a certain design for his house but knew that what he would do for himself was not appropriate for everyone</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The office we worked in (designed by this designer) was easily the best laid out and best colour schemes by miles that I have worked in. Even those that didn't like him agreed that he was top class. Many (or most that I have worked in) office color schemes are boring or clash.</p>

<p>This is the sort of person that I'm referring to. But with an interest in flags.</p> -
