From the Instagram News Service: Adam Thomson confirmed for Otago. Zac Guildford hinting he’s off to Northland (or perhaps East Coast)
That would be one hell of a commute. There were a few that travelled though.
If Zac wants to play for a Heartland team then TV or KC would be closer.

He posted an Insta story on a light blue background, stating "new colours for the end of the season Hint hint".
Debatable whether it's cambridge blue or sky blue

I think it's East Coast. I saw a post on FB on Sunday in which they said that a former All Black would join a Heartland team, but that they couldn't say yet who it was and which province. I thought it was him, but expected him to return to Wairarapa Bush.

@Stargazer yeah I have heard from a pretty reliable source it aint Northland (unless its one of those, deny deny deny rumours until it happens)

I like it when former ABs or SR players play a season or two for Heartland teams. They have valuable experience to share with players from these amateur teams. It can only be good for Heartland rugby. Great that he (and Crosswell) are joining the Heartland team that needs their help the most!

I hear the East Coast is good for other recreational drugs assuming he's still off the drink ?
Just kidding, I hope he does well. Any kind of addiction is tough to deal with particularly in the public eye.
-
When I talked about the Taranaki vs Auckland preseason game the other day I mentioned the Taranaki fullback Jason Potroz. Anyone know how old he is? Been in the squad for a couple of years now.
-
@Yeetyaah Must be about 27-28 years old. He played in the same Hurricanes schools team as players like Beauden Barrett, Codie Taylor, Lima Sopoaga, Brad Weber, Matt Proctor and Michael Allardice (to name a few).
@Stargazer Thanks for that. Was hoping for him to be younger and maybe develop into an SR player but might be too old for any real push.

Nope. Judging by insta when the whole breakup happened and he left nevers seemed to slowly be back on the drink in France, Thailand then after games the last couple of weeks.

@Bovidae Who needs Jordie Barrett at the Canes when Dre Taylor is available.
