watched forst ep of The BOys last night after the rugby, and I reckon I'll keep watching!!
Urban employing a British accent, I didnt even realise which character Starr was (despite wondering who his character was in RL haha)
Pretty solid cast, Elizabeth Shue, Simon Pegg and some other familiar looking faces
Also decided to re-watch Band of Brothers, first ep in I had forgotten how much a cnut Sobel was
After the war Sobel shot himself in the head , he fucked it up and managed to blind himself . Apparently he refused to show up to reunions before he went blind because he loathed Winters so much .

Ok spoilers for one episode of Another Life
They are flying through Dark Matter which has made the crew horny. Has started with Starbuck getting her kit off, they then have a holographic rave as they realise they had actually been drugged. Fat nerd snogs the non binary queer.
Other characters have a MMF threesome with too much MM snogging. Then Katee fucks the AI who she made change appearance to her husband.
All while an Alien is mind raping another nerd.
What the hell am I watching? It’s like a car crash, can’t look away. Writers are drunk.

@jegga The constant disasters in space that should have killed them multiple times. So many cliches (including a mashup of the matrix and "it was just a dream")
Started watching City on a Hill last night - might be the most Booooston show ever, but first episode was pretty decent
Stick with it, it's great
Oh yeah, I'm definitely sticking with it. It actually reminded me of a David Simon show and then I saw on the credits tonight that Tom Fontana is an exec producer, he did Homicide (with Simon) and Oz (created it) on HBO back in the day.

Christina Ochoa & Caroline Guerra

@Rembrandt I like Animal Kingdom but it's easily as cheesy as Sons of Anarchy, and gets cheesier as it goes along ... which is what SOA did too. Also, none of the seasons have been as brilliant as SOA S2 (if SOA had ended at the end of S2 it would be rated one of the best shows ever I reckon ... then they had to go to frikking Ireland).

The kid at 0:15 sounds like an Aussie or kiwi

@antipodean it was renewed for a second series too. I found it actually excellent in parts. Ridiculously gorey. Not sure what accent Urban is supposed to have. It goes between Kiwi, English and Australian. But he's great as an anti-hero. Starr is the standout though. He's menacing without even trying. Hard to believe he's the same guy from Outrageous Fortune. Really strange moments where the main character looks both like Meg Ryan and Denis Quade...

@raznomore I watched ep 3 last night, the scene where Popclaw kills her Landlord...amusingly gory!
-
@raznomore apparently the character in the comic is English.
-
@antipodean Oh I know he's supposed to be English. I just meant I didn't know what accent he was attempting but is not English.
-
@raznomore yeah he drifts in and out of it...maybe that is what they wanted, who knows, reckon they coulda just let him loose with a Kiwi or Aussie accent.

fuck i am going to have to watch some TV!
Started Jack Ryan last night, thought it was pretty bloody good actually.
With the significant number of shows and seasons coming out these days, i think it is almost guaranteed i will never end up watching the classics i have missed, like The Wire (yes Nepia, i know) and Breaking Bad. That probably also goes for the stuff i started but never finished, like House of Cards, Billions, and Westworld
Considering right now i have a list that includes 4 Amazon shows, and Last Chance U. For a dude who watches 60-90 minutes of TV 4 nights a week, that is already a big ask.
