    There’s a couple with quite odd names , Beethoven Algar , Tori ( sanitorium ) Reid .

I always make a point of looking at the first names of players in the 1st XV games I go to. Gen Z kids have all sorts of strange names. Look at the Taranaki U19 squad with Millenium and Crusader.

I was more referring to his French (?) surname but agree there have been some interesting names.

The Reid family have continued to use Tori down through the generations - I don’t know whether they use the full name or just Tori though.

Steve McDowall is handy with a lawn mower:

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/114506747/why-all-blacks-prop-steve-mcdowall-was-a-man-before-his-time

*Following his return to New Zealand McDowall turned his attention to the lawn mowing and garden care industry.

It started when his son was wanting to earn some pocket money and dad set him up with some gear; sensing an opportunity to tap into the market McDowall senior did some investigating and says the business, with the help of a business partner, has gone from clipping 14 lawns to around 2500.*

@sparky pathetic, I've just finished 5+ years as stay at home dad (working school hours where I can) of 4 boys. It's a doodle compared to a real job

mate, that's a bit harsh. He's used the right work - it's relentless. While you learn the kids how to handle them, it'd damn tough - even for elite sportspeople, smart and well rounded humans. Also so much depends on the kids... there are cruisy ones, and there are ones that just go absolutely nuts on you.

I agree with you about child rearing once you have processes in place, but being a new parent is a steep learning curve and can be really hard.

Heard him speak a couple of times. He's a brilliant public speaker - witty and with some great insights on leadership.

I think teenagers are generally just shit. My son is sending me to an early grave.

Primary school age kids are pretty easy, but I'd take normal work over raising babies or toddlers any day.

@mikedogz They both seemed really happy by the end, so best wishes to the couple.

But I am confused. Who's she agreed to get married to: Byron or the scuba diver with the signs?
