TBF St Elmos Fire wasn't a teen movie, it just had all the actors playing their actual age for once.
-

80's was also the golden era for kids tv. Fraggle Rock, Muppet Show, 321 Contact, The Electric Company, Jem, Basil Brush, Rainbow, Scooby Doo, Sooty & Sweep...

Dora, Diego, Wonder Pets, Max & Ruby, the fucking blue dog and undersea bugs can all take a running jump off a cliff into a pit of mutant, bloodsucking hamsters.
-

Wait till you have kids Mokey, you will hate that shit even more!

Sooty and Sweep, fuck that was a cool show.

DId you catch 'Jones Jnr' when it was on sky during the holidays? They showed alot of those old kids shows.
-

the stuff for older kids aint much better either, fortunately TR Jnr loves documentaries (animals, dinosaurs, space, ocean etc) , so watches that as much as the other crap.

I have three nieces. I have been brutally tortured by 'what's going to work? Teeeeeaaaaamwork' and 'Ni-hao, Kai-lan!' and 'Swiper no swiping!' on countless occasions.
-

At least it's educational

THE worst show on fucken earth is undoubtedly 'Max and Ruby' which thankfully my boys have grown out of.

A good one we all enjoy watching which I'm convinced was written by a group of guys on hallucinogenics is 'Uncle Grandpa'.....any show with characters called Giant realistic flying tiger and Pizza Steve has to be good..... -

My kids love uncle grandpa, I was wondering what the hell was going on the first time I watched that. -

That show is bizarre, but most shows on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon are weird. Ever seen Adventure Time, Clarence or Steven of the Universe? Plenty of drugs involved in those brainstorming sessions. Its like they dont care about the kids anymore and are focussing on their parents.

However,Regular Show is awesome, even if it's full of 80s references that go straight over kids' heads. Luke Skywalker (aka Mark Hamill) is the voice of an immortal yeti. -

I've never watched it to understand the name, but whenever TR Jnr is watching I always point out what it means for him to be Uncle Granpa!

Yeah regular show is probably about the only one I can watch if it is on, that the kids watch (glad TR Jnr has grown out of Ben 10)

My son has found the Science of Stupid on Discovery channel, that is pretty funny.
-

I think it's fair to say Harrison Ford may have had a slightly more successful career. -
Thankfully the only show my boy watches on those channels is Paw Patrol, which isn't too weird. Refuses to watch Max & Ruby or any of the other weird shit - like TR he loves watching documentaries, have been watching 'Life' lately which has been interesting.
