Me three! I hate apple sauce with Pork and I tend to agree that sweet and meat don't mix bar the odd exception.

i do this pork cutlet in a creamy calvados sauce with caramalised apples and it all works a treat.

I bet you like pineapple on your pizza too, ya Neanderthal!

i don't really like anything on my pizza, I will normally order a margherita

Yeah, I know this dude called M4L..... well, he's just a bit "different"

take your BBQ meatlovers, and jam it up your ass, where i assume you also keep your premix bourbon and coke tins

    Tins? Simple Aussie.

This is maybe more for the aging thread but if I ever see anyone buying premade drinks at the bottle store, I condemn them as morons in my mind

    Proper Neopolitan pizza only.

Woodfired oven. Thin base. San Marzano Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, garnished with basil.

Done properly you can't beat it.

Anything else is just toppings baked on dough.

If it takes longer than 90 seconds to cook then it isn't real pizza.

Add some prosciutto and that's my go-to pizza.

I've had pizza from all over Italy but Naples was still the best. The quality of the tomatoes is what makes it so tasty.

If you haven't tasted quality San Marzano tomatoes you have missed a trick in life.
One of the food world's best (yet affordable) products.

@canefan Yes. There are some pizzerias in NZ that get my Italian brother-in-law's tick of approval.

Same with Italian restaurants in NZ. Too many over think and overcomplicate the food

@canefan spot on - good Italian food is about a few high quality ingredients, simply prepared, treated with respect and allowed to shine.

@R-L sweet with the meat should be banned.

What is this utter madness you are jibbering about.. Meat and sweet all day baby!

Sweet and sour pork? Duck in plum sauce? Lamb tagine? Turkey with Cranberry sauce? List goes on.

Fucken blergh! What next, apricot chicken? I bet you love that disgusting sweet mint sauce on delicious lamb too you hideous being.

Apple sauce is great though...in a fucken apple pie!

    GRAVY. That is all.

Fruit is an abomination of the Devil and should on no account be allowed to sully burnt animal flesh.

Sausage and tomato sauce is the limit.

    Roast Pork with apple sauce?

It's the acidity which makes that marriage work.

Bit like real life I guess...

Depends on the grape sauce and how fatty the pork is.

A moist, flavourful roast pork goes with a Bordeau or an aged Shiraz

A slightly fattier pork needs a Pinot Noir to cut through
