Mad Max was surely a movie that left you thinking ..WTF is this! Cracking movie and I've enjoyed watching it a couple times since, recommend checking out the behind the scenes too
Jurassic World was cool too I thought, Chris Pratt has certainly made some very very good career choices ( Guardians of the Galaxy is another recent fav)

I find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who changes their name to supertramp, having said that it was a decent story. He wasn't that far from the road, how far can you drag a bus? And he didn't even have decent boots, a truck driver forced him to take his spare pair. Interesting that the old guy decided to take to the road and lead a similar life , hope it worked out better for him.

Re deep throat , I watched part of that a while ago and it was pretty gross I thought. The women were heinous and it was obviously a more hirsute time, apparently it was shown at mainstream movie theatres when it was released. I can't imagine how foul that collection of munters bumping uglies looked on a big screen.

Don't they have adult movies playing at some cinemas in the US or is that a movie lie?

I'm guessing but they probably only show smut films, deep throat was mainstream for a brief time https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Throat_(film)

Sam Fuller was a talented director, so there were some good scenes in Pickup on South Street, but good lord that was a terrible movie.

Saw Avengers: Age of Ultron today.

Yeah, it had flaws. Lots of them. But things exploded, people got punched in interesting ways, and it was a good way to chill out on a Saturday afternoon.

My favourite Sam Fuller film would be big red one, it's semi autobiographical . Some of the background scenes are a bit foley by today's standards but that from that I reckon it holds up well.

Watched Ant-man over the weekend and whilst it isn't any great masterpiece... It was really good escapist entertainment!

The lead actor, Paul Rudd is very likeable and it had enough humour and action to make it a short 110 minutes of viewing.

Watched the Gunman last night. There is lots wrong with it. The hot French chick doesn't get her tits out despite being in various stages of undress most of the movie. Sean Penn looks fucking ridiculous in this movie. He has an awful orange tan, his hair is very obviously dyed. And then he takes his shirt off, and he looks like a fucking wrestler. At least they let Liam Neeson look like an old guy in these roles, this looks like they photoshopped Penn's face on a 30-year old body. Rick Flair looks less ridiculous.

The movie itself is fucking tedious. Apparently people are trying to kill him, but you wouldn't know, because other than the first attack, the only time he appears to be in any danger is when he fucking puts himself there. The bad guy is telegraphed as fuck. The love-triangle was fucking stupid, and thankfully truncated.

And the ending is fucking stupid as well
Why did he contact interpol? He fucking killed everyone that was trying to off him, and then he gets himself arrested. He could have just fucked off back to Africa with his missus, and no jail time.
as for the plot contrivance, that his memory is fucked and he needs to write everything down, jesus that's lazy.

shit movie, skip it

That's a cracking film, I came across late night on tv in the 80s (so it was probably only late in that it was 10pm) and thought it was awesome. It was bloody harrowing too.

It was interesting to see Luke in something other than Star Wars too.
