Super Rugby 2020

Interesting to see my nephew's name amongst that lot. Going from Sydney University 2nd XV starting hooker (and sometimes flanker) to inclusion in a Super Rugby Squad is a bit surprising from what I have seen of him during the Australian National Rugby Championship games I watched. Still it could be worse I guess, imagine the disclaiming I will have to do if he moves into the Wallabies!!!!!! Just a shame he is not my sister's son as that would at least see him with a different family name to me so it might not be so noticeable!
In honesty it must be good for the kid who, by a quirk of fate, carries citizenship of the Republic of Ireland (amongst others) so can play up there in Europe as a local if he turns out to be good enough. -
@Stargazer some very handy players amongst that lot..if your a NZ Super Rugby franchise especially if you have injuries and with so many quality players opting for other pastures during the super season ..you do wonder about the next tare of players on standby..

And if there aren't many Japanese test players in the Sunwolves squad there is no justification to keep them in Super Rugby. SANZAAR's decision was correct.

There were no Top League players listed in the preliminary squad, further the speculation about leading Japanese players not being released to play in Super Rugby. -

Yup. Fucked if we should pay to keep them in with a bunch of foreigners

@Stargazer It was posted 3 hours ago. I just now researched its origin and it is from a 2017 artilcle on Fox sports about Nick Styles being the worst super coach ever. So its really only now relevant to past coaches.

Does anyone know if there are going to be new Super Rugby jerseys coming out this year? Doesn't seem to be much in store at the moment. History suggests they bring out a new one every 2 years.
