The funny thing with that grill , they originally went to Hulk Hogan with the idea to use his name to market it , he basically told them stupid idea , piss off , then they went to george ,

George has earnt millions from it

According to wikipedia he never got back to them and they went with Foreman . Hogan has a grill out now too, doesn't seem to be doing too well.

Wow wee. Had forgotten this fight was even on and little (or even no) coverage on the news here.

Ortiz looked well in control there and then bam...goooone

I watched this at the pub and was with mates on a pub crawl so didn't see as much as I would have liked.

What I did see was a superior boxer once again get sloppy and knocked out by a sloppy boxer that saw an opening and took it. Hardest hitter on the planet.

Wilder is always behind on the cards , never seen a fighter so content to sit there the way he does, then wait for the opportunity to throw his money punch, that straight right ,

The funny thing was , he threw it just the once , thats all it took

Same for me. Think AJ is gonna be way more prepared re what to expect and bring his A game. Ruiz is unique tho so still could cause AJ problems

AJ is done I reckon, mentally shot, rumour is he had a panic attack before the first Ruiz fight. He'll lose this then retire. He doesn't even really like boxing, he was manufactured into the sport, he'll take the $$$ and run.

The other rumour is that he was KO'd in training and wasn't fully recovered when he fought Ruiz. Him and Eddy denied it but would explain why he might have had a panic attack prior and his dad was pissed.

I found the comments by Tyson Fury amusing.

'Everyone has a bogeyman in their career, I think personally that Ruiz Jr is the bogeyman for Joshua.'

Will certainly be interesting to see if the rumours were true. Personally I think AJ just wasn't used to someone not showing him respect. Ruiz was relentless and kept pressing forward even when tagged. AJ was confused.

I’m only following the live comments but it sounds like this time AJ is prepared for Ruiz doing a full court press and is happy to box from th outside.

Can AJ hold his discipline and walk away with an easy points decision or will he try and prove a point and walk into potential trouble?

So the answer to my last post was 'yes, he can'

Must have been made to watch Lewis v Tua fight. Just kept his distance and picked Ruiz off.

If he had engaged then it would have been the first result again. Ruiz is a good fighter and bloody tough, but if you don't let him engage then you take away his strength.

AJ had been used to fighters showing him way too much respect (yes you Parker) but has now learned that lesson.

I doubt AJ will ever take on Wilder. Too much risk of one punch wiping out better boxing. I reckon he will go for Fury with the remote possibility of Hearn setting up a easy one against stablemate Parker for the home fans (if he can get Parker to beat Whyte first and reclaim the right to fight)

AJ evolved. Ruiz went backwards. Ruiz will rue piling on the pounds.

Superb game plan from AJ and team, almost perfectly executed.

pretty much how I thought the first fight would go , and I was shocked as anyone with how that went

Everyone has a bad day at the office eventually , and AJ was shocking that first fight , and probably got what he deserved,

Hopefully fights the winner of Fury Wilder , that is what we want .
