looked this up following a podcast I was listening to.
Apparently NASA require you to have an engineering degree to drive it, and driving sessions limited to about 35 mins, during which time you travel next to f#ck all distance burning a f#ck ton of fuel.

@Bones did the Weka get it?
I had never seen them in the wild until a few years ago, just in a carpark at Tapeka Point, 2 of them just cruising about.
My cat had killed a couple of weasels when we were renting for a while, which was great as at night you could hear Kiwi calling in the bush.
Fully grown Kiwis are formidable, but it's getting them past egg stage and chicks that is the problem.

They have a thriving kiwi hatchery on limestone island, which is an open reserve. Once they are adults, they release them on the mainland. An ault kiwi can (not will but can) fight off any predator, apart from dogs. Dogs kill most adult kiwi - not chicks, eggs, but adults.
