Israel Adesanya on Joe Rogan today

First time I've heard him, what an absolute dude. Great listen.

He’s been on twice this year, interesting guy . He comes across really well

What strikes me about these elite fighters is their absolute belief in their abilities, guess you have to be to compete at that level.

There's a UFC fight night in Auckland on Feb 23rd

      No fights confirmed yet

Hooker will likely headline against a good ish opponent. Lee, Felder, Cerrone?

Adesanya - zero chance. He's on ppv events for the foreseeable future

Hopefully Kai Kara-France can have a quick turnaround (he's got a fight in Dec)

An outside possibility of Whittaker? Unlikely, but he should be fighting around that time. Depends what level opponent they have for him next. A Till fight would probably be in London

          The main event for Auckland

I think Riddell vs Magomed Mustafaev is the only other fight announced so far

            Conor vs Cowboy in January

McGregor hasn't fought since Khabib in Oct 2018. He hasn't won since Nov 2016

Happy to see Cowboy get a good pay day.

The DC fight night had some good finishes

This from Rozenstruik was at 4:56 in the 5th. He was clearly losing but Overeem was gassed and he landed a brutal punch.

                  Fantastic card top to bottom.

What a way to end the year.

Not sure, I'm guessing no? He splits his time between two gyms and has his Sydney head coach as well as Bareman in the corner. There's plenty of credit to share..

Piecing together info from a few interviews it seems he starts his fight camps in Sydney then does the second part in Auckland.
Brad Riddell has been working with him on his striking for years (that went well yesterday!)
Before the fight he mentioned he spends up to 9 months a year in Auckland as he also helps prepare other CKB fighters.

A shame Kai Kara-France lost that decision (did anyone see it? It was only on the fight pass prelims).

Bareman cornered fighters finished the year with 11 wins 1 loss. Two world champions and another couple of guys in the top 10. Incredible.

I found the fight on youtube (it'll be taken down soon I'm sure)

A high quality striking fight, three super close rounds. 29-28 Moreno is about right. KKF won the first round but Moreno kept up the pace marginally better

I see Dana White said they would both get a bonus outside of the regular event bonuses

Hopefully he can have a quick turnaround and fight in Auckland in Feb. It didn't look like he took too much damage.

A couple of interesting things in this interview

First White claiming that a future Adesanya vs Jones fight would happen in "a stadium in either New Zealand or Australia".
Sure White exaggerates and panders but its good to hear him saying how strong the market is in this part of the world.

Then he gets asked about why Whittaker withdrew from his fight.

White gets a little choked up and then gushes about Whittaker and talks about how selfless he is.. whatever it is sounds serious. Hope his luck changes soon.

That’s hardcore seeing him talking about Whitaker like that. Interesting to see how that unfolds.

Conor tonight. Tried to sort out online buy earlier but not proving straight forward. Not happy.

Well it was Conor in 40secs

Four massive shoulder strikes in a mid-octagon clinch.. a head kick rocked Cerrone and it finished with a few lefts

                                    Impressive

Dominant and important win for Conor McGregor. He reminded everyone that he is a superb athlete and a great fighter, not just hype.

                                          McGregor.

Talk the talk, then walk the walk. Outstanding.
