On a serious note it seems on the surface at least to be another case of immigration NZ being carnts. Fancy looking to separate a mother and child. She should have dealt drugs, they would let her stay for sure
I think they're separating the father from the child, not the mother. Reading between the lines he seems like a bit of a twat actually.
What is weird is that she's English, which is historically by far the easiest nationality to be able to immigrate to NZ.
It all seems a bit weird though, you'd think NZ would have an allowance for the mother of a NZ child, who also has a NZ parent, to remain ... it's not like we're Australia.
There might be some convictions she's not mentioning?

That seems a route to 'pregnancy for citizenship' that probably has consequences we don't really want.
Indeed, that potential pathway/loophole (anyone born in NZ automatically becoming NZ citizens regardless of circumstances) was closed in the mid 2000's - it was possible for women at early & mid stages of pregnancy to arrive on temporary visas (i.e. fewer mandated health checks), give birth in NZ, and citizenship then followed for the mother as well.

SLAMMED !!!!!
Social media can be such an absolute fucking hell hole. It's getting more and more detached from reality all the time.

@jegga Been on a cruise ship the last week. Gutted to have missed this fast breaking news story.
It’s all good he’s apologised for a Hongi or something to keep them both in the news .
Looking forward to your next book after this “ research” . “Debauchery on the high seas” with a pirate theme sounds good .

@jegga I tell you what, one of the shows was a ladies night, and we got strippers who were all pro dancers/acrobats so cut af and very strong/flexible. I got led up on stage to rub oil on an ass so tight you could bounce a coin off it. One of my fellow ladies got 'married' but the ceremony was interrupted so she could give two dudes in leather and chains a flogging. Now that was entertainment.

As soon as I read cruise I naturally assumed it was a “ no cameras allowed “ cruise

"Led up on stage" - you were jumping up and down in the front row with your hand up immediately prior?

@jegga bet you could get some bargains on 26/27 December...checkout tellers might even not scan everything!
Wouldn’t really blame them , they put up with an old run down shop that dates back to the 70s and were always promised a brand new one was going to be built for over 10 years and then just got laid off before Xmas instead .

@taniwharugby Fucking Australians!
