Oh and thanks to Netflix they discovered Barbie life in a Dreamhouse or something. Its actually not the worse, very dry humour (obviously aimed at older girls). Often filled with references to anything from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Rocky etc.

Swiper is a fluffybunny. He pinches stuff just to throw it away right in front of them. He's not a thief, he's a sociopath.

It's good that the 7 year old is in charge of the cartoon watching, so we get Cartoon Network stuff, although Mariner Jr the youngest still loves Paw Patrol and Little Einsteins.

With the movies it's all good though. Recent watches are obviously Star Wars. The Avengers. Then Minions, Inside Out, Home, and we just watched Jumanji and Zathura, and they really liked Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and Journey 2. Jurassic World may have been a little much, but strangely the littlest one found it less scary than the elder. I have no idea what my kids should be watching.....

Oh and TR my kids are loud as fuck.

My guess is kids at TR Jnrs school talk about various movies (with some parents restrictions even more lax than mine) given he came home asking to watch Saving Private Ryan one day - which I sat down and watched with him.

Also watched Revenge of the Sith last night. It's definitely the best of the prequels, but still far from perfect. My kids don't like it much, my youngest burst in to tears when Anakin turns bad, and then the eldest does when Anakin fights Obi Wan.

My boys love Bond, Indiana Jones and Back to the future but Star Wars trumps the lot. Some say I'm brainwashing them but those fluffybunnies can fuck off back to the PC crap kids are supposed to enjoy nowadays...

Naaa they haven't but I'm sure I can track em down somewhere. Admittedly the Indy obsession is more my 5 year old rather than 7 year old. They can't figure out why there are 20 something bonds and only 4 Indy's....

Neither can I.

I never really got the fuss about James Bond , I also loathe puns too which probably doesn't help. 20 indies and 4 bonds would make the world a better place .

Make that one bond , that's about enough.

Chill, bad puns and camp secret agents might be your thing but Indiana jones trumps that easily. Tell me the world would nt be a better place with 16 more jones movies and at least no Roger Moore Bonds ?

Just finished watching Sicario. I can not commend this movie enough. Stars Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and Josh Brolin. The pace and direction is excellent, cinematography brilliant and acting superb.

Grabs you with an explosive opening passage, but I felt it slowed a bit through the middle but otherwise was good.

I actually really liked the Moore ones, he could actually be pretty ruthless at times but I think people complain about the preposterous nature of some of his movies ( ahem, Moonraker ) whilst forgetting the one right after which was a great thriller ( For your eyes only )

If there were more Indiana Jones movies perhaps the series would be closer in my eyes. But hey, Indiana Jones is still fucken awesome, Raiders is easily the best, Last Crusade second, Temple of Doom third ( but still a classic ) whereas Crystal Skull didn't really do it for me much save for the classic Ant fight ( fucken love it when Indy is getting a hiding from a big guy, often Pat Roach, and something in the environment saves him, this happens to Bond quite a bit too )
