FB pages are terrible for getting the word out though. Back in the good old days everyone who had liked the page would see a post, now an 'engaging post' according to those FB fuckers is 20 people seeing it.

Personally, I found 50 Shades dreadful. Sociopath hero and a twit of a heroine (seriously, there is only so many times I can read about inner goddesses and lip biting before I want to stab myself.) Didn't find the sex sexy, it was a poor representation of the BDSM lifestyle. Key aspect is consent, not one party terrorising the other. Also, both parties want to do it cos they like it, not because one needs 'fixing'. But I digress.

Slightly off topic, but the above reminds me of the best comeback I've ever been on the receiving of.
 
I had watched Unknown, the Liam Neeson flick and thought it was excellent - it had a pretty good box office run too, but was panned by a lot of critics (surprised RT has it at 55%, I thought it was much worse than that than that). Anyway, the gist of my argument is that critics were full of shit and outdated. The only way to really tell how good a movie is, is to see how many have seen it. The Artist had recently sweeped the oscars despite nobody watching it etc - I was really pushing for the argument that how good something is, should really be more defined by how many people watched it and enjoyed it,not by the view of a select few. So, my pal says.

EDIT, It wasn't Unknown, it was Taken 3 - 326 mill at box office, and 10% on Rotten Tomatoes. Makes better sense now.
