This was my first car. I got to drive it 2 times and then it was sold to my auntie..

Nice! Is that a Honda Prelude? I had a 198? Cream Honda Accord as my first car. 11k's to the litre and I never saw the fuel gauge above 1/4 tank 99% of the time.

    super reliable.

    yup! Cream

@voodoo that is awesome and if it was here in OZ it would be worth a 2 bedroom house in the sticks.

My mates bought a Kingswood station wagon on the last day of school for $500 to go to the Mt for the holidays.

We took it for a blat before we all agreed to put $100 in. Column shift and it rose 12 inches at the nose when we got to about 80km. I decided not to hand over a hundy choosing to hang out in Wellies for the holidays. Good thing too as the boys only made it to Wairoa. But that car would be worth $10000-$15000 now in the condition it was in then.

Quality! I had no idea they were so valuable these days! We sold ours with a really shifty transmission (we were open about it), felt like it was on the verge of falling apart. So many good memories though. We drove the thing from Welly to Queenstown once, up the mountain and everything. The gas probably cost us more than flying ๐Ÿ˜‚

@raznomore bro your auntie saved you from being a prelude creep! You'd probably still be driving it past high schools at 3pm...

@Bones this is so true! The 2 guys I knew that had them were sleazy as anything. One graduated to an MR2 and the there went on to be the proud owner of a high ace van..

My first ride was Tracey. Oh, cars?

1984 KB Laser. 5spd manual. 54(ish) kw of fury. Copper bronze (poo brown) in colour.

Kept it stored for years with the intent of restoring it. Reality dawned on me and it become scrap.

My cuzzie gave me my first car - 84-85 Toyota Corolla Seca. Loved it with the liftback boot. Was efficient as too.
