I liked what I saw from Slater against the Crusaders last Sunday. His throwing was rather good (with one notable exception), he has a good workrate and he looks big for a hooker. At just 21, he is one to watch closely.

If there is an AB EOYT it might be worth taking Slater as their apprentice.

Trust me, that is the best I have ever seen Slater throw, going back to 1st XV rugby where he was also very inaccurate. He was worse than Taukei'aho in SR.

I am starting to wish that DMac was steered toward number nine and up skilled with his pass.

Having a 9 that can properly cover 15, 10 and wing in that order would be invaluable.

If he was British or a Saffa that would have happened, I suspect.

I have said that for a few years. Probably on record here.

Small, fast, elusive. Not sure that he is annoying enough for a nine though.

He comes from the same area as other annoying halfbacks. I m sure it would be in there somewhere.
Maybe he should grow a mullet?

Reminds me of that Brumbies player whose nickname was ‘Miami’ because his head looked like it had been in a vice.

always remember Zinny putting in a monster hit late and off the ball in 1996/1997 bledisloe in Dunedin. Superb.

Knox and Gregan were bloody good together. Knox squeezed every ounce out of his talent.

Edit: 1997. Cullen scored his try. Iw as on the terraces on the wrong 22 as 55 points got scored at the other end of the park. 29-0 became 29-26

    Wasn’t Knox. More recent.

Guy had a horse head that even Sarah Jessica Parker would laugh at.
