the 80s was a different era when it came to movies, Porkys, Revenge of the Nerds, Screwballs, Animal House, Blazing Saddles etc
Mel Brooks literally smuggled the films past the studio bosses even then.
One of the great comedy films with a social message which mercilessly sent up rednecks and racists. Outstanding

Knives Out.
Sensational. Really outstanding film, well built, well acted, well directed, great performances. Really enjoyed it.
Five suicides out of five murders
Didn't get on with it.
Overwrought.
Mate, love it to bits. Daniel Craig chewing scenery, it's wonderul. Loving the cinematography and script. Overblown but wonderful fun
You're two posts in on this movie and have mentioned Daniel Craig but not Ana De Armas.
She’s definitely gonna make the new Bond even more awesome than it woulda been.
She might make the new Bond worth watching.
The series has done fine for 58 years without your snide remarks Neps....
Yeah, they don't need my money ... Casino Royale was great but they've been meh since.
This is only partially true
So they do need my money!

Karate Kid III
The most predictable movie ever. There is literally nothing in the movie that you cannot see happening miles away. With the exception of him not hooking up with the chick. I mean, what was even the point of the chick???

Me neither. 1 & 2 were enough.

I didn't mind that one. I really liked the first one as a kid. The second one was a bit average and I haven't seen the third one

I really wanted to turn and ask them what they thought foreigners must think of our soccer team's nickname.
You should have. Also let them know that our badminton team was going to be called "the black cocks".

Neither. The Jayden Smith one is pretty good actually. It’s completely different for basically the same story.

@Bovidae his comedy stuff on Netflix is very hit and miss, mostly miss, I think his last one (Seriously Funny I think it was called) was by far the best one, some very funny bits, but again, some lame stuff too.
@Hooroo yeah it was pretty decent, I like Jackie Chan too, I cant even remember the Hilary Swank one, but I am sure I would have watched it.

I watched Karate Kid 1 with the kids a month or so ago , they were pretty bored and I wasn't that impressed either. Bit of downer on my memories tbh.
Watched it a year and a bit ago, was good enough and the boys thought it was better than the reboot - they’d watched that at someone elese house

No. KK3 is when Daniel gets trained by this other sensei who is actually a friend of the disgraced Cobra Kai sensei. He realises late and Miyagi saves the day
