If you get a chance, check out the making of the film. Awesome to see how much trouble they went to using real effects and props etc as opposed to the shitty cgi you see today in most films. -

<p>I found it hard not to enjoy. Plot? development? pah! weird looking fluffybunnies in frankensteined-up murdermobiles trying to straight-up execute each other, for 2 hours? What's not to enjoy? </p> -

<p>I felt the same - I actually work with a bunch of people who either worked on the original trilogy, know George Miller, or know people involved in the effects companies so I keep relatively quiet about my thoughts on it - yay for the Fern for venting opportunities!</p>

<p>The trailers left me cold and that didn't really change too much for me. I'd categorise it as style over substance, and it was the style that put me off. </p>

<p>I thought MM Fury Road was a bit average...first 40 mins were pretty cool, then the next 2 hours seemed like much of the same...yeah was some good scenery in it though.</p>

Anyone seen the new Ghost Busters trailer? I'm all for films with smart, kick ass women, but whytf would you use Ghost Busters as the vehicle for that? It's just plain weird.

<p>My take: Well predictably this looks shit. Here's a hint; if the movie you want to copy had Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray in it, you're better off copying something else.</p>
