I really don't get metal. It just sounds comical to me. Why are you shouting at me like that? Do you need some throat lozenges?

I can appreciate the musicianship, but the vocals just don't resonate with me.

Annoyingly, my 11yr old has discovered Parkway Drive. Killing me!!!

The difference between a high pitched genius and as you say a shouty annoying prick is extremely marginal in some cases.
