For a band that I consider massively overrated on the whole I find it apt my favourite song of theirs is done by a guitarist who is pretty underrated.

I really don't get metal. It just sounds comical to me. Why are you shouting at me like that? Do you need some throat lozenges?

I can appreciate the musicianship, but the vocals just don't resonate with me.

Annoyingly, my 11yr old has discovered Parkway Drive. Killing me!!!

@voodoo Yeah, metal is very marmite. Although I'm the first to admit that Anselmo's vocals are a bit of an acquired taste.

The difference between a high pitched genius and as you say a shouty annoying prick is extremely marginal in some cases.

Thurston's albums have been better than the last few SY ones. Kind of rips himself off a bit here (mainly 'Sunday' and some sounds reminiscent of Daydream Nation )
