All Blacks only have slightly more aura then your average rugby spectator.

With both groups just being spectators at the games they attend with the minor difference being that security let the ABs to go on the field .... where they occasionally score tries off opposition mistakes.

Apart from the stupid aura bit Campo is dead on so maybe wrong thread but:

      • NZR have been arrogant and have consistently f#%ked up big time from the coaching selections to the treatment of Aussie (who we need as much as they need us)

      • Foster is the wrong man for the job (hopefully get egg on my face for that comment)

      • The off-field shit affects the on-field performance

Every mention of the aura, even it’s death, only makes it stronger! It’s like ‘no such thing as bad advertising’

Least now we know why NZRU wouldn't allow Aussies more than three teams in any future Super Rugby Aotearoa. Guarantees us at least one semi-finalist 😉

According to the signage at Eden Park Aura has chaged her name to Nura so she can hide in plain site.

@Machpants jesus that's a dumpster fire of a negative article.

If you make all your tackles, you'll probably win. FFS. His arguments don't stand up - we've lost to Ireland, Eng and SA recently, but only occasionally. The SA game in the RWC was a great example - both 2019 and 2015 I'd say. We got beaten up in the forwards, but did enough to win both times. It takes some magic, but That's. What. Really. Good. Teams. Do.

HE's also coneniently ignoring that missed tackles often happen because of the stretching and putting people into space... which pulls defenders around, etc.

                  I'm triggered. Muppet.

That was an awful article. The level of rugby journalism has sunk a lot. I wish they could convert the in depth knowledge of the best analysts like on 1014 to written media for hardcore fans.

Sounds like someone hasn't been reading much Stephen Jones or @taniwharugby s good mate Chris Rattue.

These sort of stories bore me.

                                        To take a quote:

If you can tackle the All Blacks, you will beat them. End of story.

Let's just change that slightly to

If you can score more points than the All Blacks, you will beat them. End of story.

The point being is that the All Blacks over 117 years of Test rugby have a 77% winning record.

They're not invincible, but by crikey they're damned hard to beat.

No other team has a record that comes close.

                                        Boks are 63%
                                        Poms 56%
                                        Frogs 54%
                                        Wins 53%
                                        Wales 52%
(Stats from http://www.lassen.co.nz/pickandgo.php and do not count draws as half)

And growing up in the 70s and early 80s a win in a Test match was a win a Test match.

You didn't have to win by 50+ to be considered successful, just win.

Muppet.
