I had just assumed she’s been on an epic quest into “the unknown regions” looking for Ezra and by association thrawn...but now she’s in known space and looking for him...I don’t know

@Kiwiwomble so where in the timeline does this sit compared to the SW films?

They mentioned Yoda, but he is like 1000 years old isnt he 😉

About 5 years after Return of the Jedi

So right about when Luke is supposed to be trying to train a new generation of Jedi

Indeed. I’m interested in why Ashoka never caught up with him or the rebellion

Remember Ashoka became disenfranchised with the Jedi. From her perspective where was the evidence that the Jedi had changed from “fighters” back to their original mandate as keepers of the peace? So why would she seek them out?

It’s not entirely clear that she knew that Anakin had turned to Vadar at the end of Clone Wars, but I’m sure she sensed something had gone off kilter.

Rebels has a great scene with her and Darth Vader, worth YouTube-ing it

As Kirwan said, she knew because she fought him at the Sith temple in SW Rebels. That was epic. But you are right about her and the Jedi order. She was cast out then offered a chance to return, only to walk away as they had abandoned her when she needed them most

That is all before rebels though, she knows the old Jedi order is gone and she’s become a big part of the rebels by the end of “rebels”, she still cared for anakin so maybe she’d care for his children especially if they had become a big part of the rebel organisation too...I’m sure more will be revealed

That’s a good question, I think the answer is no.

If they are close to each other, otherwise Vader wouldn't have had too much trouble finding Luke, or Leia for that matter.

What did Ashoka end up doing with the Magistrate ? Chucked in one of those prison torture things I’d expect.

Was she some sort of force user too or ‘merely’ yet another awesome female fighter ?

This show has truckloads....Cara, the armourer, Bo Katan, Bo Katans Mando mate, Ashoka....hardcore feminists must be furious there’s nothing to whinge about in Mando.....

That Twitter post got absolutely murdered online, some great replies to it - the best from other women.

Dawson is currently going through a attempted cancellation as well, some from Lucasarts employees as well. All over a discredited lawsuit.

And obviously Gina is copping it because she has opinions that differ from groupthink.

The irony is that the targets here are giving them what they have always wanted, strong popular female characters. Each one of Katee, Gina and Rosario has a character that is not shoe-horned into the plot and a character independant enough they they all likely to get their own series.

The left like to eat their own.

These women are 100X more badass than the female characters in Eps 7 8 and 9. Talk about missing the forest for the trees

And it makes it hard to smear the SW fanbase as misogynistic when their favourite Mandalorain characters are all women.

Leia in the 70s was kick ass as well albeit more in terms of her dialogue than action scenes. They way she spoke back to Vader and Tarkin was awesome !

But of course any criticism of Finns character ( in the movies and off screen ) is racist ( forgetting such awesome characters as Lando, Mace Windu and Greef Carga ) and any criticism of Rose is sexist ( forgetting any number of kick ass female characters, add Padme, Leia, Rey and Jyn to the ones I mentioned from Mando )

We could take this to the SW Universe politics thread if there was one but why the last comment?
Sure, idiots like that are often left leaning in their politics but they aren't representative. Just call them what they are. Idiots.

in fairness...just because there are great black or female characters...doesn't mean comments against fin or rose or anyone else haven't been racist or sexist...that's like the old "I have black friends...but..." or "I'm not racist….but...."

They have copped some atrocious abuse on line

why paint everyone with the same brush? why not actually call them what they are, trolls...there are plenty on both sides of the political fence?
