    @taniwharugby @Bovidae ....

    Watched S1 E1 of Warrior last night, on the "recommendation" of a few Ferners.

    Danish, subtitled. Not quite what I was expecting. 😎

    Ex-army colleague of a dead guy feels guilt for his death. Agrees to help the widow by going undercover to infiltrate a crime lord called Tom (terrifying name huh?).

    Pretty well acted, lead guy is convincing. Not convinced by the pending love story.

    Will probably ditch in favour of the other Warrior.

    Started watching a Russian series on NEtflix - To the Lake

    an unknown virus strikes in Moscow, with people dying within a few days and a group of people try to head to a lake to sit it out.

    2 eps in and am enjoying it (with subtitles, havent tried the dubbing as most of the time it sucks)

    Based on a bestselling book, Vongozero

    Tom, scarier than Keith

    The Queens Gambit

    Sounds absolutely shit and I only agreed to watch it as I’d taken over the TV for the cricket the night before.

    You know what ? It’s actually well made and pretty compelling about half way through so far.

    The other half and I are already dusting off the chess set for some games.

    One of my work colleagues works part time at Dymocks (bookstore chain) and she said they've been running out of stock of chess boards on a weekly basis.

    I think in 12 months time there will be lots of dusty chess sets in peoples homes.

    Same. A very valuable family heirloom actually.

    Chess is a brilliant game, I guess it comes down to how many moves and countermoves you can remember.

    There was an app I played on for awhile, level one was too easy, level two was too hard.....I guess I should try again.

    I would imagine those games are programmed to expertly counter EVERY move us humans can try ?

    I might download another app and try again. Mrs is watching some bachelor type shit so no way can I disturb her for a game haha.

    The Undoing

    Really got into this eh and thought it built it all up brilliantly. Not sure about the end result, thought they may have come up with something more clever but a bloody good watch I'd say.

    Fargo S4

    A typical Fargo ending to this season, and I say that as a compliment.

    :::

    Make sure you continue to watch the post-credits to see a connection to S2.

    Is that the Harlen Coben one?
    Only thing that throws me with those is the 'mid-atlantic' approach where it isn't properly Brit but is also obviously not Yank.
    Like that Sex Education show where the school setup is very American yet they are in the UK.

    I liked it.

    The verdict was never really in doubt, but the wife taking the stand to cement his guilt was the highlight (if you can call it that)

    I did a quick search and couldn't find mention but 'Swedish Dicks'.
    Took me a little while to tune in and now not sure how this hasn't been a more obvious find.
    Funny as a fight

    That annoyed me a little as if she was going to throw him under the bus I don't know why she wouldn't have done it earlier and/or more obviously. But yeah I guess the verdict wasn't in doubt so she could do it her way.
