Dirty Harry ? I've already seen it....
-

Uh oh here goes but...

MN5 don't bother mate

I tried to rewatch it tyhe other day and couldn't get past the cheese and ridiculousness of the bloody thing. Reeves was just a fuckstick and the whole thing looks like a 3rd form school project.

You'd need a lobotomy to enjoy that big pile of shite.

There I've said it....incoming!!
-

I'm going to be charitable and say I merely pity you. -

Nope, I don't say anything I wouldn't say to someones face in a pub.

Quite a few 90's movies don't hold up today, Heat is a notable exception, I'll enjoy that flick til the day I die.
-

POint Break was a mint movie at the time (watched it ALOT at a down time of my life, was an escape) up there as one of my faves, but like you say, some dont stand up that well, I reckon its been 10+years since I last watched it though.

I've watched movies that scared the beejeebus out of me as a kid, and thought WTF...
-

You'd need to go a long way to find an 80s horror that's genuinely scary. In saying that Halloween and Friday the 13th are good value to laugh at purely to watch all the jocks, prom queens, nerds, weirdos and token black people getting hacked to bits.

-
Dr Who was scary as a kid but I rewatched a lot of those old episodes with my son and there were as cheesy as hell and not scary at all .

One movie I doubt I'll ever sit through again is Dead ringers with Jeremy Irons . That was disturbing and very strange. -

Dr Who was really scary I remember despite the cardboard special effects. The one that really got me was when the shop window dummies came to life and the army guys shot them and the bullets didn't bring them down. I couldn't sleep after watching that with my grandparents in the mid 80s.

Fucken hell, look at the state of it though haha.

Some of the Twilight Zone episodes were farking scary!

That is my favourite movie. Cronenberg was the king. -

Words I never thought I'd read, then again you like crash too . Your thoughts on bad boy bubby just to round out the disturbing new picture I have of you? -

I know you're ignoring me but that's one flick I turned off. Just pointless, sad, depraved shit and whilst some movies have to be sat through "just to see what happens" I gave zero fucks as to what happened to him.....
-

So just in case anyone hear was thinking about watching The Lady in The Van (unlikely but you never know - no tits, gore, violence or scatological humour)

Its had some rave reviews and is doing good box office but I found it self indulgent, way too long and just pointless.

Couple of grins at the re-creation of Camden in the 70/80's but that was it for me.
-

Inception

Another Netflix catch up here, as I'd never seen it at the movies.

Great idea, well executed. Had no trouble tracking each of the layers and thought the concept of dream within dream was very interesting.

Some of the characters were a little stilted. I found DiCaprio's character lacking a level of depth I'd expect for a desperate father, in the scenes involving his children. Maybe that was his character's defence mechanism. But I thought that performance was still better than Revenant.

Ellen Page is always good to watch. Think she tends to get characters right most of the time, but for a Uni student she was hella perceptive.

Tom Hardy was good, if a little stereotyped, as the sarcastic Englishman. Joseph Gordon-Levitt didn't get a lot to work with, and his long-term relationship as a partner with Dom didn't really present well in the film. Its like they knew each other well, but didn't give a shit.

I give it 4 Crazy Dead French Bitches out of 5.
