You dont trust jurors to make that determination? I believe it is a fundamental right in a democratic to get a decision from a jury of your peers.

Seems to me that fundamentally you want to trust politicians and judges and I want to trust the populace to decide cases.

Not sure if it will help him, but the issues raised might be worth getting some appellate clarity.

the issue I have there is, he supposedly gets name supression so his other cases dont prejudice one another? Yet in this case, he has history, surely that is relevant, particularly when it comes to sentencing, or are the judges all privy to this infomarion?

@taniwharugby the judge will know the history, but the jurors won't. Once convicted, the other crimes come into lpay for sentencing I understand.

For sure. There were clues as to where this was leading though.
I wonder how many kittens and puppies he killed as a child. These are all very documented traits.
