@MN5 Deadpool was a great film!
It was great at being terrible, yes.

I preferred Clints version which was terrible.
Deadpool was about as funny as cancer.

@MN5 is quite the contrarian. First he likes Leigh Hart and now he's dissing Deadpool.
Strongly standing by both opinions. How is that being contrarian ? Shall I check with your views next time so I can be sure to agree with them ?

Contrary to the rest of the world, dude
Oh shit ok fair enough. I’ll go and buy some Celine Dion albums cos she sells loads of them so I want to be on the bandwagon.

@Kiwiwomble I started The Stand (Although me thinks Stephen King wrote it a wee bit before Covid) although is a series
Was it any good. Does it start well?
I read the book just before Covid (a coincidence) and there are some parallels. He wrote it late seventies so it is old but strangely relevant.

Maybe Block yourself from the Star Wars page ?
I do that with Golf and horse racing on here.

@Snowy its ok, nothing great but watchable (I just saw there was also a series made in 1994 with a solid cast; Rob Lowe, Gary Sinise and Molly Ringwold and a few other recognisable faces)
Obviously having just read it you know it has a super natural element to it as opposed to just a pandemic (assuming the series writers havent taken liberties) but yeah there are some eerily similar parallels.

Completely agree @taniwharugby
Read and loved the book in the 80's and then again in 1990 when the reprint came out as a Complete and Uncut Edition (in fact, I still have this version but it's in terrible shape at my parents house with all my old shite).
Loved so much about this book except that f*cking end. That "hand from the sky" shit just really really annoys me (even more so as an atheist) and seemed like such a cop-out from King.

Motherless Brooklyn
Neo-noir crime drama set in 1950's NYC directed by and starring Ed Norton as a PI trying to solve the murder of his mentor.
Yeah thought it was gonna be a tough/slow watch but Norton's quirky character makes it much easier. Recommend. Fair few other faces too, Willis, Dafoe, Alec Baldwin, Michael K Williams.
3.5 if's out of 5 if's.
