Labuschagne antics are so fucking cringeworthy. The “no run” at the top of his lungs on a left fucking ball should be a finable. And fuck Steve Smith for buying into it.

Didn't see the incident you're talking about, but I noticed in Melbourne the Aussie bats getting more vocal in calling "no run" in response to Pant's incessant jibber jabber.

If it's just a tool to cut through the rubbish - maybe on sports psychologist advice or a tactical thing from Langer - then maybe they feel it's working for them.

I assume you're not listening to Warne in commentary?

    Just another reason I'm glad I don't have Fox/Kayo.

A couple of people I know switched to the FTA coverage here on Channel 7 and won't go back, even with the ads.

Maybe they suggest if he didn't talk as much he may keep better

Marnus was overly vocal last year as well, no Pant.
I think his inspiration is copying Steve Smith. Unwatchable batsman IMO, as a viewer.

Yesterday, his constant chirping of Gill, when at short leg, when tv producers just focused on him for an over or 2 and commentators kept quiet. Was 'interesting '.

ABC radio comms, the female one, says Smith and Labuschagne are described as being mayo. The mayonnaise in top of the salad. The overly loud and dramatic calling, dramatic leaves, etc. New term to me

Don't remember either seeing it or seeing Kiwis complaining about it on the Fern while simultaneously giving Kane Williamson a virtual handy.

Therefore I'm struggling to believe you 🙂

    @NTA
He drove me away from the tv, as well of course as the kiwis shitness and negligent prep and cancelling their game between first and second tests.

I'm the anti Hooroo. I can barely watch if either Smith or Labuschagne are batting.

Was Marnus not mocked, teased, sledged last year by asking him if Steve Smith was his favourite player. As in he was a mini-me of Smith with style and mannerisms. Not by us though surely, we'd never do that, must have been the poems....

He spent a few minutes asking Gill yesterday who his favorite batsman was, and suggesting lists of Indian batters he was copying.

    Ha! That's funny.

Like Tim Paine "I know he’s your captain, but you can’t seriously like him as a bloke" re: Kohli.

I'll bet Rahane was copping some shit in Adelaide for running Kohli out, too 😉

swearing at the umpire's not cool though - he should lose some match fee and pick up some points for that.

    India are completely stuffed now.

New ball does the trick for the Aussies.

Fuck that was a good ball to get rid of Pujara - and it had to be. Batting on this innings 4 is going to suck. Lyon was looking good with the older ball

This game is all over now.

Ashwin outdoes Wade in how to throw away your wicket.

@nzzp i'm not sure it was that bad of a run. That was freakish work by Hazelwood.
