He spent a few minutes asking Gill yesterday who his favorite batsman was, and suggesting lists of Indian batters he was copying.

    Ha! That's funny.

Like Tim Paine "I know he’s your captain, but you can’t seriously like him as a bloke" re: Kohli.

I'll bet Rahane was copping some shit in Adelaide for running Kohli out, too 😉

Paine in the great Aussie keeper tradition of appealing for fuck all.

swearing at the umpire's not cool though - he should lose some match fee and pick up some points for that.

    India are completely stuffed now.

New ball does the trick for the Aussies.

Fuck that was a good ball to get rid of Pujara - and it had to be. Batting on this innings 4 is going to suck. Lyon was looking good with the older ball

This game is all over now.

Ashwin outdoes Wade in how to throw away your wicket.

@nzzp i'm not sure it was that bad of a run. That was freakish work by Hazelwood.

There was no need to go to the Third Umpire for that one.

It has been referred and it'll be fine minimum, suspension of probably one Test at most.

Also reported that there was some racial bullshit from the crowd toward Siraj and ?Bumrah? yesterday. Five year ban is my preferred option there.

Further to that, as just pointed out on the Channel 7 coverage: this is the most surveilled crowd in Test Match history. Names, phone numbers, addresses, and seat numbers due to COVID.

Therefore tracking down whoever it was shouldn't be too hard.

At the same time, the press photographers around the boundary apparently didn't hear anything.

So the fallout will be interesting

A few years ago, it was only Symonds who heard something ... holder of the line adn all that 🙂

See how it plays out. There's always some muppets, but as you say they should be easy to identify

Based on that Stuff article I think we want India to lose this:

    What’s left (max 180 points):
-Australia 2 away tests (30pts per win, 10pts per draw)
-England 4 home tests (30pts per win, 10pts per draw)

What they need to top 70 per cent:
120 more points (win 4 out of 6 against Australia and England; or win 3 and draw 3)

Zero points here means they need 4 wins from 5

(I can't see England winning 3 of 4 in India)

Not sure why Smith is shaking his head for. It's clearly out.
